About this mod

An unarmed-focused Fighter Subclass with custom Passives and Abilites.

Following on from my previous mod Thug - Rogue Subclass, I wanted to focus on an unarmed mod since I figured how to make unarmed damage scale like a Monk.  This subclass is designed to be able to punch, throw and run as much as you want to while still being a competent Martial that can become especially powerful in the late game.

Recommended Feats for this build would be Tavern Brawler and Mobile. You could also take Tough for more survivability if you want.

The features of the Subclass are as follows:


Level 3

Thick Skin (Passive):
A reflavoured Unarmoured Defense from Barbarian. Can add your CON Modifier to your AC if unarmoured.

Unarmoured Movement (Passive):
This is the passive from Monk that improves your movement speed as you level up as long as you are unarmoured.

Pugilist (Passive):
Your unarmed damage now scales like a Monk's (1d6 from Levels 3 - 8, 1d8 from Levels 9 - 12) and uses either your STR or DEX (whichever's higher).

Vicious Throw and Vicious Improvised Weapon (Abilities):
These are Bonus Action versions of Throw and Improvised Weapon so you can brawl even more.


Level 7

Human Weapon (Ability):
A Once Per Short Rest attack that has you rush forward while knocking down and maiming any enemy you hit. Enemies that are successfully hit will skip their turn making this extremely strong but rare so Brawlers have to know when to pull out their signature moves.

Underdog (Passive):
When you are surrounded by at least two enemies, you gain Advantage on your unarmed attacks.
You also now have resistance to Bludgeoning damage.

Unarmoured Movement 2 (Passive):
Improved version of Level 3 Passive.


Level 10

Payback (Reaction):
Payback is a Once Per Turn attack triggering on being hit that prones and disarms your target.

Bloody Knuckles (Passive):
Your unarmed attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming non-magic damage resistance. 
You also now add your Proficiency Bonus to your unarmed attacks' Damage Rolls.

Unarmoured Movement 3 (Passive):
Improved version of Level 7 Passive.
