A few people seem to be having issues with some of the open face helmets. Like in the previous Dragon Age games, these helmets remove the character's hair mesh. To hide this, the helmets include a skull cap underneath to cover up the missing hair. Because this skull cap is tinted by material type when crafting, some people were under the impression that their character's hair was changing colour, especially with materials that caused the skull cap to tint a pale colour. To help alleviate the problem, this mod prevents the skull cap from being tinted, setting it to a fixed leather colour, regardless of what material is used when crafting.
There are two types of skull cap used in open face helmets. One is chainmail, which is unaffected by this mod. Only those helmets that use the leather skull cap are affected. Notable examples include the Inquisitor's Hat, Overseer Cowl, and Elven Cowl.
