This mod removes a few light sources and dustmotes from around Rivet city to increase FPS. Also, some objects - like shot-glasses and booze bottles have been culled.

Thanks to all the awesome mods on Nexus Fallout 3 now runs much better than it did on release date. Over the last few months I've been able to steadily increase the Graphical fidelity of the game (AA and texture filtering, ect.) while actually gaining FPS. That is except for Rivet City, particularily the Market-place.
Once the G.E.C.K was released I promised myself "I'm gonna delete that stupid flame barrel next to Flak and Shrapnel's!" and so I did. This led to a general tidying of the ship and now Rivet City runs as fluidly as the rest of the game.
What's been deleted?
Besides the flame barrel. . . nothin' you'll notice. If I didn't tell you anything had changed you likely wouldn't notice -except for the substancial gain in FPS!
The comments section of this page has become a list of links to helpful Mods related to FPS gain and a brief tutorial for the 'Custom Textures at Medium resolution' philosophy.
Screen shots have been added to illustrate the above. The images were taken at my playable settings: 1680x1050, 2x AA, 4x Anisotropic (all other options enabled) but with MEDIUM texture settings.
