To fulfill a mod request on reddit, this mod silences the Radio Freedom announcer from making unnecessary updates like "All's quiet. Stay safe out there." and "This is Radio Freedom. It's 9pm." He still gives quest announcements and all of his other dialogue such as info on artillery strikes.
v1.0 This is the main download, it removes all station identification and time updates, only quest starters are left intact. v1.1 This is an optional alternative which removes only station identification. Time updates and quest starters are left intact. If you have already installed v1.0 and wish to switch to this instead, then uninstall v1.0 by deleting the folder \Data\Sound\Voice\Fallout4.esm\NPCMMinuteMenRadioVoice, then you can install this one.
To install, extract the file and place the Data folder in your Fallout4 installation. For me, that's located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\
Also, edit your Fallout4.ini file found in \Documents\My Games\Fallout4\ Find sResourceDataDirsFinal and set it to: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\
