What does the mod?

This mod adds Viper's warpaint from Doomsday. It is redrawn by hand from scratch to look as similar to film version as possible, however it is still heavily based on older mod - Badass Warpaint made by Skree000 back in 2011.

Versions

The mod is currently for non-beast female and male only. There are three main versions:

  • Race Menu version (for male and female)
  • Non-Race Menu Standalone version (for female only)
  • Non-Race Menu Replacer version (for male and female)

There are 4 resolution options:

  • 1K (1024 x 1024 px) - only as non-Race Menu version
  • 2K (2048 x 2048 px) - both main versions
  • 4K (4096 x 4096 px) - both main versions
  • 8K (8192 x 8192 px) - only as Race Menu version

If you want to see the difference, check out this image.

2K, 4K and 8K Race Menu versions are also splitted into main warpaint and 11 additional standalone parts so you may combine them as you want.

If you want to see more, check out BlackMaid's (1, 2, 3), SimClarke's (1, 2) or Jaykin1's (1, 2) wonderful images. There are more images in image descriptions.

To-Do list for version 3.0

  • release probably May 2020
  • update for male and female version of warpaint
  • version for Khajiits and Argonians
  • more modularity (new parts)
  • Skyrim SE version (with all features of v3.0 update)

Requirements

SKSE
is required because you need to set warpaint resolution in SKSE.ini.

Installation

Installation with NMM or MO is required as it is handled by script.

!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Don't forget to change "iTintTextureResolution" in "SKSE.ini" file located in "\Skyrim\Data\SKSE" folder! Number after equals sign should be same as resolution of the warpaint. If INI file isn't in this folder, create it.
If you won't change it appropriately, Skyrim will resize the warpaint to seted resolution by itself! So you may end up with lower-res warpaint than you downloaded!

For example, if you use 4K version, in the INI file should be this:

[Display]
iTintTextureResolution=4096
