Having some trouble adding the game initially. Ive tried using both my SKSE.exe and the normal Skyrimspecialedition.exe , but its coming up with the error message:

    'error saving game
Access to the path C:\windows\system32\game.xml is denied'

Does this mean Ive blocked the ENB organizer from viewing files somehow?

This is an old post so I dont know if you still care, but I think it was trying to replace something that was set as "Read only" for some stupid reason. Next time the error appears, follow the path and see what you can find.

I was using this app not for ENBs only, I can switch between SKSE plugins and versions, I also have some binaries from SSE engine, so if I need a clean version of game, I just switch off every possible binaries and that's it, I don't need to remove/install anything from the game folder, I just switching between what I want to add/remove so this app is a diamond.
So shame it's out of date with all those bugs and warning messages, I can't find alternatives because there's nothing so useful and simple until right now

If anyone can revive it, please do it, I would pay

I'm new to setting up enb's (finally got a set up that can run them) & have installed this & a few enb pre-sets & they work but I think I've set it up wrong. Any changes I make to the enb are saved in the game root enb ini files, not in the respective enb folders ini's. I must've errored setting this up right? I would've thought there would be no need to have any enb files in the game root folder, just the two d3d enb files in the binaries section in ENB-O enabled & then whatever pre-set I'm using enabled.

Anyone know if this is the correct set up or no?

    Ty.

Not sure if this will help you but there's a fairly concise YT tut here from... beyond the hype

You could've added at least one line to explain HOW to actually add and install an ENB with this

Thank you. It's always so interesting to see people put effort into creating a product but not explain its users how to use it...

There are 2 videos on how to use the mod in the video tab.  You are welcome.

Thank you for this tool. ENBs are so subjective to player's tastes and mod setups that this really reduces the tedium in comparing presets and finding the right preset.

I've always meant to say thanks for making this.  I've been using ENB Organizer with Skyrim for ages to make preset tweaking less painful, and now I just started using it for Red Dead to switch back and forth between a modded solo game and multiplayer.  A most helpful and versatile program!

Hi Breems, I know you are busy and all but hopefully this is a small change.

ENBO doesn't handle folder moves very well. The binaries and presets window become empty If I move the game or if I move ENBO to a new drive or computer, it can't find the files. If try to add the installed folder
    ENB Organizer/Games/SkyrimSE/Binaries/enbseries_xxx
I get the error "Attemt to copy directory failed because source and target are the same"

Please add a Refresh option somewher or have ENBO automatically refresh it's folder inventory on load so users don't need to re-install everything when porting Skyrim to a new computer.

For those having problems with this program I've been using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4143?tab=files&file_id=76937 - it's not as pretty but it does the job.

I ran this from the location I downloaded it to, because the install instructions say you can run it from anywhere.
I ignored the error about updates., seems like thats not a problem.
It asks me to name a game and browse to the exe
I use Vortex. I set up vortex to launch skse to run SkyrimSE.

    1. Do I give ENB Organizer SkyrimSE.exe, SkyrimSELauncher.exe, or skse64_loader.exe?
    2. Then what do I do? Do I need to run ENP Organizer every time I mess with my mod list?
    3. Do i have to do any of this? Why do I have to install an ENB?
    4. by installing this have i now installed an ENB?

I went to the "Master List". There's a bunch of stuff there.

    5. Is that all installed now?
    6. Are any of those ENBs?
    7. Do I need to do anything with any of those files?

It appears I can add "presets", whatever the ever-loving fu** those are. So i click the plus sign to add a preset and all it does is have me name something that doesn't exist and it makes a folder out of it.

    8. What is that folder for?
    9. Should I put something in there?
    10. What is a "Global ENB Local"? That sounds like an oxymoron to me. It looks really fu**ing important though...

I have been looking up Skyrim PC modding for the first time over the past two days and I'll share what I have found.

This is going to be your best bet on everything. Ill try and sum up what I have figured out but like I said, I have been looking at this for about two days.

      3. ENB is one specific set of files installed like SKSE. You have to download them from a different source than the Nexus and I do not believe they are allowed to be linked on the Nexus at all. A google search should work. ENB is basically a new graphic engine? for Skyrim. The ENB presets on the Nexus are settings for ENB. It takes a bit of power to run them so prepare with that in mind.
      4. I think this is for easier managing of presets for ENB and other things. I have had to reinstall Skyrim twice in caution because you have to overwrite files in the Skyrim directory for the presets.
      5. No idea
      6. ENB is a set of files downloaded from their source which is not nexus.
      7. No idea
      8. 9. 10. Presets are explained to the best of my knowledge above. I'm not sure about the functionality of the organizer.

I did get a preset installed manually and man oh man it was like an entirely new game. HIGHLY recommend.
