This mod page contains a collection of little patches, plugin replacers, and miscellaneous files created by myself and Umgak, intended mostly for users of our guide, The Phoenix Flavour, but they can be used on their own as well. All plugins are flagged as ESL (turning them into ESP-FE or ESP-Lite plugins) so they won't count towards the 255 ESP+ESM limit.

Update, 28/09/2021: Performed some much-needed maintenance. Mod page was cleaned up. Old/outdated patches were removed.

AllGUD Conditions Fix

Patches conditions in All Geared Up Derivative SE - AllGUD to fix the "Azura's Star Bug" as well as hiding the player's items if they have ANY invisibility effect, not just the Invisibility spell effect.

Adds footstep sounds from Immersive Sounds Compendium 3.0 to the ARMA record for Armor and Clothing Extension's armored Vigilant of Stendarr robes.

Immersive Sounds Compendium - Frankly HD Imperial Armor and Weapons Patch

Resolves conflicts between Immersive Sounds Compendium and Frankly HD Imperial Armor and Weapons. Also adds footstep sounds to General Caius' Armor which Frankly HD makes playable.

Adopt Aventus Aretino - USSEP and Simple Children Patch

Minor patch for the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch, Adopt Aventus Aretino, and Simple Children, basically the same thing as the patch included in the Simple Children Patch FOMOD but without the keyword error and with a tiny typo fix forwarded from the USSEP.

Seasonal Weathers Framework - Obsidian Weathers and Audio Overhaul Skyrim Patch

Conflict resolution for Seasonal Weathers Framework, Obsidian Weathers and Seasons, and Audio Overhaul for Skyrim. This replaces the AOS - Obsidian Weathers patch.

Arachnomancy - Book Covers Skyrim Patch

A patch for Arachnomnancy - A Spider Scrolls Overhaul and Book Covers Skyrim, resolving conflicts and changing the assets for the new notes added by Arachnomancy to the pretty ones from BCS.

Arachnomancy - Audio Overhaul for Skyrim Patch

A very quick and dirty conflict resolution patch for Arachnomancy - A Spider Scrolls Overhaul and Audio Overhaul for Skyrim. This does not properly integrate AOS sounds into Arachnomancy because frankly looking at AOS in xEdit gives me a headache. Maybe someone smarter than me will make a more thorough patch at some point.

A consistency patch for Lepidoptera - More Butterflies and Moths and Apothecary - An Alchemy Overhaul.

Oblivion - Book Covers Skyrim Patch

This patch adds the high quality assets from Book Covers Skyrim to the new Atronach Forge recipes added by Oblivion - An Atronach Forge Overhaul (and fixes conflicts with the vanilla ones).

Revamped Assets Skyrim - Weapon Racks Patch

Forwards Pivot nodes from Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch into the Weapon Rack meshes from Revamped Assets Skyrim, fixing the floating weapons/shields bug (for example, Falmer staves or Dwarven shields).
Load below Revamped Assets Skyrim.

1.1 Fixed left greatsword rotation being 180° off from intended position, resulting in greatswords stabbing through your ceiling. A carpenter/stonemason will be by to fix your ceiling, free of charge.


AMB Matching Glass Armory - Female Glass Armor Fix

By far my favourite retexture for glass armor is aMidianBorn Matching Armory - Glass Armor and Weapons. Unfortunately, the meshes for the female cuirass variant has some issues (oops). This replaces those meshes with the originals from Practical Female Armors by JZBai (which the mod also used) and changes the cubemaps / environment mapping for consistency.

Simple Player Home Improvements - Proudspire Manor Fix

This fixes two objects (a wall and a table) which were erroneously linked to upgrades in Simple Player Home Adjustments, leading to an invisible wall and a floating candlestick.

Open Face Guard Helmets

Fixes some conflicts between WACCF and Open Face Guard Helmets.

True Homecooked Meals

This is a plugin replacer for True Homecooked Meals, replacing the original with a more sensibly named one. It also doesn't have the new crafting recipe and it has Apothecary edits forwarded (which means that mod is required).

MOD TWEAKS



Alchemy Adjustments - TPF Tweaks

While I very much like skepman's Alchemy Potions and Food Adjustments, I am not fond of the changes to Cure Poison and Cure Disease potions. On paper, the fact that they are the only potions that don't scale is an inconsistency but in actual gameplay, swallowing a bunch of "x% Chance of Cure Disease" potions is not particularly engaging (especially when other methods of curing diseases were removed like in TPF).

- Garlic Bread, Chicken Dumplings, and multiple types of stew no longer cure diseases or have a chance to cure diseases. They're just food.
- Reverted Potions of Cure Poison and Cure Disease to vanilla (with guaranteed effect).
- Removed the new scaling Potions of Cure Poison and Cure Disease from the levelled lists so they are effectively gone from the game.
- Reverted scaled Cure Disease and Cure Poison effects from certain ingredients to the vanilla property.
- Swapped the first two properties of Hawk Feathers so that eating them raw no longer magically cures diseases.

Disable USSEP Unwanted Effects Book

So the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch includes a script that you can use to remove any stuck magic effects from your character. Over the years it was available from a shrine in Kynareth's temple, then a book added to your inventory, and finally in a recent update the book was placed in Kynareth's temple. Because it offends my sense of immersion to have a book called "USSEP Unwanted Magic Effects Remover" hanging out in Whiterun, I flagged it as disabled in this plugin. Begone, killer of immersion.

If you DO find yourself needing the book:

  • Open the console, type help ussep and press ENTER.
  • The book will show up at the top of the OTHER FORMS list, you need the item ID (eight characters).
  • Type in player.additem xx0B1958 1 (first two characters depend on your load order, that's why you need the exact item ID).
  • Press ENTER and one copy of the book will be added to your inventory where you can use it.
  • If you don't need it anymore, dump it in Sovngarde or something.

Wander - Less Intense Distant Fog

Wander is a fantastic weather overhaul. The only thing that bothered me was the intense fogs in the distance which were meant to hide LOD. While it's true that vanilla distant terrain is atrocious, it can be made to look rather respectable with DynDOLOD and xLODGen. I went and doubled the Fog "Day - Far" and "Night - Far" values for all weathers. Admittedly, this was originally a bruteforce solution for testing but I quite liked the result so I kept it.

Made for the Brighter Nights version of Wander.

This plugin was exclusive to my Wabbajack list "Legends of the Frost" and has been uploaded to the Nexus by popular request.

Easier Mara Quest

So I have mixed feelings about Andrealphus' Harder Mara Quests. On the one hand, it swaps the two quests around so you have to hand out pamphlets first before you are sent out as an agent of Mara. On the other hand it increases the amount of pamphlets the player needs to give out from the vanilla 20 to an even more grindy 30.

Umgak and I edited the quest script to actually use the global (FFRiften05Total) so that changing it will now properly affect the amount mentioned in the quest log, the amount of pamphlets added to the player's inventory, and the actual required amount. The global in the plugin was also reduced to 10 (pamphlets that must be handed out) which seems more reasonable to me.

ISC - Default Soul Capture SFX

I'm personally not a fan of the new soul capture SFX in Immersive Sounds - Compendium. This plugin overwrites the new ISC file paths so that other replacers such as Soul Trap Sound Edit - Calm Wind can be used.

Hand to Hand - Security2Trickery

I really like Simon's Hand to Hand, but I'm not totally into "Security" as the name for the merged Lockpicking/Pickpocket perk tree. So I renamed it to "Trickery". That's pretty much it.

Bottles Of Skyrim - Unique Meshes

I ran into a conundrum trying to use Bottles Of Skyrim for its unique labels / variants together with Realistic HD Food Remastered for its new wine bottle assets. The textures from Bottles Of Skyrim were obviously not made with the meshes from Realistic HD Food Remastered in mind and will be misaligned when used with them.

This is a bandaid fix that creates new meshes for the five unique wine bottles from Bottles Of Skyrim and reverts the texture path changes to four vanilla wine / alto wine variants so they continue to use the Realistic HD Food Remastered assets.

Any mod that changes the meshes for the wine bottles, i.e. Realistic HD Food Remastered or, presumably, Medieval Spirits.

CC Horse Armor Stays Token

The CC Horse Armor has a tendency to disappear sometimes which was fixed by this mod. However, its implementation causes you to find random pieces of jewelry on dead horses. I created a copy of one of the vanilla rings (the Horse Armor Stays Token), flagged it as Non-Playable (so you won't see it in the horses' inventories), and added that to their "outfits" instead.

CC Player Homes - Unique Basket Meshes

Elianora added baskets with unique texture sets to several of her CC player homes (Hendraheim, Tundra Homestead, Myrwatch, and Shadowfoot Sanctum) which is a really cool touch until you install a mesh replacer like Realistic HD Baskets Remastered which replaces the basket meshes and remaps the textures in such a way that Elianora's recoloured vanilla ones no longer fit. To solve this, I pointed Elianora's unique baskets to duplicates which can be installed alongside modified vanilla meshes.

SkyHUD - TPF Preset

This is an edited SkyHUD TXT based on the "vanilla small" preset. I enabled the dot crosshair but reduced its size, enabled the alternative arrow display and compass, and hid the activate button.

moreHUD - TPF Preset

DESCRIPTION
This is a moreHUD preset with some small tweaks. When looking at a potion or ingredient, you will no longer see the effect(s) and enemies will only have the Health bar (with number) displayed while Stamina and Magicka are disabled.

A Matter of Time - TPF Preset

DESCRIPTION
Simply my personal preset exported with FISS. It's the A Matter of Time - HUD Clock Widget (with the slim design to match the SkyHUD slim compass) and a smaller 24-hour ingame clock, both in the top-left corner so they don't clash with SkyUI active effect icons. It is set to always on so you can control and toggle it with Immersive HUD. Works fine on 1080p and 1440p but might need adjusting on non 16:9 resolutions. The clock can be switched to 12-hour easily through the MCM. Check picture section for a screenshot.

New: Added the TPF 5.0 compass clock preset, inspired by Sr. Kaio's Preset.

Timing Is Everything - TPF Preset

A Timing Is Everything preset tweaked specifically for the Phoenix Flavour setup although it should work well for anyone with Arena encounter zones. The level requirements were adjusted in such a way that the player does not receive quests that they are too low level to complete. The slower leveling from Cheshyr's Uncapper preset was also taken into account.

  • Increased min level for the Dawnguard Recruitment events to 34.
  • Increased min level for Hearthfire to 28.
  • Dragonborn will start after killing Alduin (Dragonslayer quest).
  • Increased min level for Dragonborn to 40.
  • Adjusted min levels for most quests on the "Other Quests" page.
  • Enabled Werewolf encounters even if the player hasn't joined the Companions.
  • Enabled quest requirement for Thalmor Squads events.
  • Enabled Letter from a Friend requiring actual friends.

Radiant Requirements MCM - TPF Preset

Parapets' fantastic Radiant Requirements MCM allows for custom presets to be saved and exported. This one was made specifically for TPF (or any other setup that is using SimonMagus' encounter zone overhaul Arena) with the required levels being always one below the corresponding EZ level in Arena.

Cathedral Assets Optimizer - Basic Profiles Pack

DESCRIPTION
Contains my profiles to cover everything I use Cathedral Assets Optimizer for:

  • Optimise SLE Assets
  • Create BSA
  • Unpack BSA
  • Downsize Textures

Initially Disable xEdit Script

This is a very crude edit of the original "Undelete and Disable References" script, simply removing the requirement of a record having to have been flagged as deleted for it to work. I find it very handy when disabling multiple references at once.

Download and install with your favourite mod manager. MO2 is strongly recommended.
