:: Gear Improvements Last Longer ::
This simple mod changes the duration that armour and weapon improvements last to more realistic, not exaggerated values.
Both improvements now last for a full in game day (roughly 96 minutes) after which they wear off. The vanilla 15 mins was 3h 45 min in game time. Sharpening your sword and improving the armour should last longer than that! A full day makes them more useful and actually worth getting, but also short enough to actively look for the places where we can make improvements when they wear off.
Supports New Game +
This mod is inspired by Grindstone and workbench durations by eriladin. Give it some love!
Feedback is always welcomed, if you have any comments or suggestions please post them :)

COMPATIBILITY AND TROUBLESHOOTING:
This mod introduces changes to the following files:
- \gameplay\abilities\effects.xml
- \gameplay\abilities_plus\effects.xml
If any other mods that change those files, the game will use only 1 mod - whichever has the highest priority (i.e. was loaded up last into the game). If after installing GILL one of your mods stops working or if GILL doesn't work, follow this procedure:
- Navigate to your \My Documents\The Witcher 3 folder
- Create a new text file
- Name it "mods.settings" and remove the .txt extension
- Edit the file and input these 3 lines:
[modGILL]
Enabled=1
Priority=0
or (if you use Half Day optional file)
[modGILL_halfday]
Enabled=1
Priority=0
Now save the mods.settings file, run the game and check if my mod now works.
YES - you have another mod installed that modifies the effect.xml file(s). I may be able to make a patch - contact me!
NO - something is wrong, I probably won't have an idea...
