This was originally a custom crossbow mod from back in 2014..i stripped down any changes it had that have been included in today's vanilla 7d2d (eg. a scope can be equipped nowadays), added some that weren't there back then(eg. dismemberment) and turned the whole package into one attachment. This way one can install/uninstall this mid game.
Changes compared to a crossbow without the attachment:
R.o.F increases to match that of a shotgun. Reload time decreases to match switching mags on an AK Carries 6 bolts per mag/clip/whatever. Fires 2 bolts at a time. "Always" dismembers. (add 100 to the dismember chance) Bolts don't break. Although autofire is enabled Crossbow still requires you to press the trigger whilst empty.
Usage is recommended after you have achieved your end game goals.
-B333 update: The attachment has been broken down to 3 lesser attachments that can be combined into 1.
Recipe cost is high because the attachments are still OP, materials required follow the following train of thought: Iron & Steel , for level gating purposes. Other mods , that your toon had to destroy in order to figure out how to make w/e it is you are making...adds an element of treasure hunting. Other materials, flavour / further gating.
Ps. Please don't ask me to make them cheaper to craft, just go and edit the recipes.xml files yourself.
