7 Days to Die Modlet: Auto Miner
This modlet adds an Auto Miner to 7 Days to Die, allowing players to gather resources automatically.
Note, there is currently a bug when updating to 0.0.6 from any of the older versions where all forges placed in the world will break and everything in them will be lost. before upgrading, empty all your forges and pick them up.
Obtainable Resources:
The Auto Miner can gather the following resources:
Crafting Recipes:
There are two crafting options for each item:
1. Loose Items (Default Recipe):
- Yield: 6,000 units per crafting operation
- Cost: 1,000 Gas
- Crafting Time: 90 minutes
This recipe is available to all players by default.
2. Bundles (Unlocked with The Art of Mining Volume 5: Resources):
- Yield: 1 bundle per crafting operation
- Cost: 1,000 Gas
- Crafting Time: 70 minutes
Auger Requirements:
To use the Auto Miner, at least one Auger must be inserted. The Auto Miner can hold up to 3 Augers at a time. While the Auger's durability is not consumed, the crafting time is reduced based on the Auger's tier:
The maximum possible bonus is 48 minutes with 3 Tier 6 Augers.
Gas Reduction with Miner 69er:
By leveling up the Miner 69er perk, you can reduce the gas requirement to 500 Gas per crafting operation.
Auto Miner Specifications:
- Size: 15 x 12 x 5 blocks (plan accordingly)
- Heat Generation: Similar to a forge (will attract attention from zombies)
Unlocking the Auto Miner:
The Auto Miner, Auto Miner Chassis, and Auto Miner Accessories are unlocked by reading all 100 issues of the Vehicle Adventure magazines.
Material Discounts with Grease Monkey:
If you have maxed out the Grease Monkey skill, you will receive material discounts when crafting the following items:
Copper, Zinc and Crafting Brass:
Brass can be created in the forge, it will require Copper, Zinc and Clay.Maxing out Advanced Engineering will reduce the cost of required materials.
There are no other uses for Copper and Zinc at this current time
Multiplayer Compatibility:
This modlet is only required on the server in a multiplayer environment.
Modlet Compatibility:
There is a chance if you are using this modlet with another modlet that modifies the forge that the forge could become broken. If you run into this issue please post a bug report with your modlist so I can look at fixing. Starting with Fire's Auto Miner 0.0.6 I have adjusted the base code to hopefully make it more compatible with other modlets.
