About this mod
This is a small modlet to remove blood, gore, and graphic dismemberment from the game.
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
-blood splatters are no longer shown when animals or zombies are struck* or killed
-bleeding effects are no longer shown when an animal or zombie is bleeding
-dismemberment and decapitation no longer show blood or disembodied body parts, instead the body part disappears bloodlessly
-cops exploding have been 'dechunkified' by replacing them with demolition zombie explosion effect
It is for those who enjoy the game but don't enjoy excessive blood and gore, or for those who want to enjoy with a spouse, family member, or friend who is sensitive to these things, and is designed to work with the current 1.3 version.
For those curious as to whether this changes the underlying dismemberment damage mechanics, to the best of my knowledge it does not, except for animals, which are made immune to dismemberment. Other than that, this mod should be purely cosmetic.
*This is achieved by replacing the particle effect of 'organic' entities with one from a different in-game material (ie, cloth, earth, glass, metal, plant, stone, water, wood.) The current default has been changed to 'cloth', as it is a fairly neutral (albeit quiet) sound with a small amount of visual feedback (a small puff of dust) and seems to be the least immersion breaking, but this can easily be changed by opening the mod's enitityclasses.xml file with a text editor and replacing 'cloth' with the material of your choice. (See comments in the file for more detail.)
Install in the usual way, to the 7 Days To Die "mods" folder.
Should work fine for multiplayer.
