- This mod does not affect map textures that contain translated text, depending on the chosen language.
- Subtitles are available only in the following default languages that come with the game: European Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese. (Note: Japanese doesn't have dubbing so this mod is not needed in that version, it will be removed in future versions of the mod)
Don't forget to report if a cutscene/memory has wrong audio. I will fix it ASAP!
FAQ:
Q: How does it works?
A: The mod replaces all files containing voices in other languages so that the game cannot read/find them. This ensures that the game always uses the original English voices while displaying subtitles in the chosen language.
For cutscenes and memories, it's a little bit harder because Spicy Horse mixed all the audio tracks inside the Bink files so you have to copy the English track over the dub tracks. For this task, I've made a tool which from a defined map replaces automatically those tracks.
Q:Why replacing Localization folder doesn't work? That way I wouldn't need to replace Cutscenes and Memories, right?
A: Because subtitles are cooked within the audio files.
