These modified executables fix the ongoing problem that causes frequent lags and frame freezes in Assassin's Creed which make the game almost unplayable. Supports both the Direct X9 and Direct X10 versions of the game.

Assassin's Creed Lag Fix
Assassins's Creed suffers from frequent lags and frame freezes caused by the game wanting to connect to UBISOFT's servers
for statistical analysis but UBISOFT has ever since cut the support. These modified executables do not contain the line
that leads to this problem (wanting to connect to UBISOFT) therefore removing lag and frame freezes.
Installation:
This mod is compatible with EaglePatchAC1

I CANNOT GUARANTEE IT TO WORK ON OTHER VERSIONS!
In case you want to circumvent the problem yourself you can drop your own executables "AssassinsCreed_Dx9.exe" and "AssassinsCreed_Dx10.exe" in a Hex editor, search for the text-string "gconnect.ubi.com" and replace the bytes with zeros so that the whole line is removed.

- Create a Backup for "AssassinsCreed_Dx9.exe" and "AssassinsCreed_Dx10.exe" from your Assassin's Creed game folder in case you want to keep them
- Then drop the .exe files from the mod folder into your game folder and click replace if asked
- Launch your game
