Ever wanted to roam the streets of Baghdad as the young and innocent thief you once were? This easy to use bug let's you port Tutorial-Basim to the big city! - Permadeath only.
- Permissions and credits
1) Start a new game with permadeath enabled, make it through the prologue and on to the gates of the round city.
2) Provoke some guards and find death by their hand but act like it was unintended, immediately pressing ESC and then quit to title screen.
3) Start a new game with permadeath enabled and make it through the movie.
Now ready yourself for perfectionist difficulty and a new experience to the story as an outside thief rather than a trained member of the brotherhood. (mostly so)
This will give you an arsenal of 2 hands and a total of 10 fingers until finishing al-Ghul, which will add assassin's focus and every tool you like.
No parries unless equipping a sword or dagger after finding one. Doing so will spawn the counterpart and ruin the feeling. Can't be undone.
No hidden blade, no eagle jump, no matter what. Feel free to change outfits and costumes.
No vendors, tailors, blacksmiths, cartographer etc. for a spartan life. Even more so as you won't see certain icons like Dervis' artifacts and ancient shards including the abovementioned.
No calling mount or eagle. The first Enkido promt will stay forever, so do a quick save or find the bureau and reload.
Haven't made it back to Alamut yet. Wonder how the game will handle that situation...
UPDATE: ... I just did it. Not really worth the struggle you get from beating Roshan with bare hands. Street thief outfit will be removed afterwards, eveything else remains the same.
What I still love is that people will recognize and acknowledge Basim in the streets wich makes for an overall friendly atmosphere in these desperate times.
