First, if you already have mods in your game installed then it is recommended to remove them first and follow the steps below.
Setup: Place AC_Shadows_Mod_Manager.exe in your main AC Shadows game folder. A mods folder appears on first run.
1. Run AC_Shadows_Mod_Manager.exe.
2.Add Mod:
---Click + Add Mod.
---Select the mod's .forge file.
---Give it a unique name (this only names the folder, not the file).
---Optionally add a preview image.
---Click Save Mod.
Automatic Renaming (Optional):
---Use the Auto Rename: ON/OFF button to toggle this feature (default is ON).
---If ON: When adding a mod, the manager automatically:
---Renames old mods to make them compatible with the game again (..._10_dlc_patch_02.forge becomes ..._patch_02.forge).
---Adds a number(_02, _03) if a file with the same name already exists in the game folder or mods folder.
---If OFF: No renaming happens. You'll get a warning if adding a mod with a name that already exists.
Activate/Deactivate:
---Click the toggle switch next to a mod.
---ON (Green): Moves the mod's .forge file to the main game folder. If a file with the same name exists, the manager safely moves the old one back to its mods folder first.
---OFF (Red): Moves the mod's .forge file back into its folder inside mods.
Manage Mods:
---Rename: Close manager -> Rename folder inside mods -> Reopen manager.
---Delete: Close manager -> Delete folder inside mods -> Reopen manager.
Close: Click the X button. Settings save as you toggle mods.
You can activate as many mods as you want but if some of them edit the same game assets then obviously only one of them will work.
