London Eye in Oblivion

While doing a Google Image search for Oblivion piccies today I came across an interesting picture: The London Eye in Oblivion. Now, I've never seen this before but then again I don't keep very up-to-date with some of the crazy things the Oblivion community tries to do.

This picture is compliments of a satanic blogger (see: all bloggers are satanic, which includes myself, due to their ability to warp my mind into reading the entire blog and wasting my entire afternoon on non-sensical information). The article dates back to Oct 2006 so it's an oldy. Ho hum.

    This is actually just a screenie of work done by an architect making a case for using the Oblivion engine for rapid 3d development of architectural models. The articles are amazing, and he is promising a tutorial for his methods soon. There are full videos of his work, which include renderings of full fantasy cities in Oblivion which he claims he modeled in about an hour. Here's a link. Amazing stuff!!!! Pretty cool to see him ride his horse up to the London Eye in-game.

    He had done previous work with the Half Life engine, and has since moved on to focus almost entirely on Google Earth (bummer).I emailed him with a gentle prod about his promised .nif creation tutorial-- maybe he'll post something soon!

    Well, I just figured that if Britain ever ran out of cameras, they'd move onto more drastic measures.

    Ahh...good point, good point. Then maybe they'd add One Ring tracking devices?

    Why would that be in London? The Eye of Sauron is in Mordor:

    Do you know where to get the mod that adds the London Eye?

    I don't think it was ever released. It wasn't possible to make animations back then either.
