- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
V1 - Recolors with darker ropes, 24 textures total (23 new colors and the original color with darker ropes).
V2 - Recolors with original color of the ropes, 23 textures total.
Installation:
To install
- download AFOP Mod Loader and place it in you game directory (e.g. C:\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\AFOP)
- download .zip with the version of your choice off this page, open it, move the blue folder into the game directory.
blue\baked\characterart\gear\player\rnf\waist\base\g_rnf_waist_loincloth_01\textures
Switching colors:
Each texture has a number in brackets in its name except for the active one, the name of which should remain g_rnf_waist_loincloth_01_d.dds. By default
- in V1 active is the original color of the waistcloth but with recolored ropes, so color 0. To switch colors, edit the name of this texture from g_rnf_waist_loincloth_01_d.dds to (0) g_rnf_waist_loincloth_01_d.dds to disable it, then remove the number and brackets from the name of the texture you want to use.
- in V2 there's no active texture, so you can active the one of your choice when first adding the pack to your folder by removing the brackets from its name.
Using multiple versions/Compatibility with other recolors of this waist:
If you already have recolors for this waistcloth from another author or want to use multiple versions and switch them around every once in a while, I suggest that for your convenience you organize it like this: create a separate textures folder for each version/pack from another author you have downloaded, order it in a way you'd easily tell them apart by editing its name. The process of switching them around is exactly like with switching colors explained above, just that now it's a folder. The name of the only active folder should remain textures, and only its active texture will be seen in the game.

Disabling/enabling the pack:
If you wish to stop using the recolors, either
- delete the folders leading to the textures that contain nothing else/the textures themselves - to permanently remove the pack
- rename the folders leading to the textures that contain nothing else/the textures themselves (adding a single letter will be enough) - to temporary disable the pack. You can enable it anytime by changing the name back.
Important:
This texture is used by some NPCs and cannot disabled/enabled, colors can't be switched at any moment while playing. You have to move out of the NPCs range at first for the new texture to load. Sometimes it works at isolated RDA bases, sometimes it doesn't; the safest option is to travel to a base in Upper Plains and take it off and on there, or restart the game. Note that the back side of the waistcloth is used in Beaded and Traveler's Waistcloths, so the color on them will change too. If anyone has any suggestions for additional colors, let me know in the comments, I'll be happy to add more.
Two additional versions with the back side of the waistcloth removed to achieve a more movie-accurate look will be added in the future.
