I found it somewhat challenging to make a more or less normal looking character without that crazy death stare each time the dialogue camera focuses on you.
That said, I do really love messing around in CCs so I might try and recreate her tomorrow and can share then. I was also struggling with getting the features balanced in a way that didn't leave me with uncanny valley vibes.
Oh, indeed. The CC seems a bit lacking, especially the horrible lighting in the character creation screen and the awkward godlike features. Surely they could have added more coolness, uniqueness and flavor to it. It actually boogles my mind why a game that is otherwise so immersive and detailed didn't include some sort of option to change appearance at any time in your game session since it feels like it's a mandatory feature in any RPG these days. Some sort of artistic vision or some nonsense like that, I suppose. They could also have added some more facial expressions for our character so it doesn't feel so out of place all the time. Oh, well.
Anyway, if you share her sliders at any point in the future I'd be thankful nonetheless.
Anywayyy, I was able to recreate her pretty closely! She's not exactly the same, but I actually think I prefer this newer version anyway. π Here are the sliders if you're still interested! If you end up making her & taking any pictures feel free to ping me, I'd love to see!
At any rate, thank you so much for providing the sliders. I really appreciate it π I think you're only missing the preset head screenshot in your collection as the preset also changes some predetermined face features. Otherwise it's great and I really do like her new, refined look. Great work π
And if ever get around to make VP in this game I'll be sure to ping you π
Hm, it was my understanding that while the first character presets determine both a unique body preset & face preset, those choices can be overridden if you later select a vanilla body and face preset piecemeal. Different face presets become available whether you choose an elf or human body type, but I found that whatever face I selected would have the same skull base regardless of what initial character preset I may have started withβprovided the races matched and I toggled between faces until an overwrite with spacebar was prompted.
Hence why I believe all you should need to recreate her is to select the fem elf body type, and then the face preset as pictured in slide 3 will be available to overwrite. For Mel, I'm 99% sure I left that first character preset selected - the fem elf with long blonde hair. That character preset has the same base face, it just isn't "vanilla" as some sliders have already been modified β but since you'll be modifying those numbers to match someones sliders anyway, that first character preset isn't strictly necessary for recreation purposes.
Hope that makes sense, bit weird to explain, and please do correct me if I'm wrong! I was able to reliably reproduce results doing things this way, but I'm absolutely known to have my dunderheaded moments.
Oh! New game here!
She has a beautiful face
This is a game based on the Pillars of Eternity universe, right? I haven't tried it yet, but is it fun?
Graphic look so great..πππππ
Yes, it takes place in the Pillars of Eternity Universe. π I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, but I've really only just scratched the surface. Reminds me of Skyrim, Mass Effect, and a dash of Dragon Age. The world and environments are beautiful!! I'll definitely be spending a lot of time just exploring and taking pictures. π
