These issues are known to me and I'll be working on fixes for them eventually, some sooner than later.
Bugbear clips through armor. This race is in Early Access thanks to my Patreon Supporters as it was one of the biggest requests I've gotten for an early release next to Kobold. This race mechanic works 100% but needs several cosmetic fixes before it's finalized.
I've made a patch that makes the body invisible so that you can instead wear armor that Strong Bodies use so long as you don't have skin showing it will fit the character into Strong Body armor. However, if you are wearing armor that would display any part of naked skin then that part will be invisible.
- Fantastical Compendium
- Fantastical Bugbear
- Bugbear - Invisible Body Patch-
I was recommended by a Patreon supporter that this mod Muscular Male Dragonborn by ograyrei might help with some of it. This is because Bugbear utilizes the Dragonborn Male armor types currently. It still might not resolve every issue though. That's because the Bugbear uses Dragonborn armor types for the Male body.
Bugbear female body type is a Half-Orc.
It's a placeholder till I have the time to make the Bugbear female body type.
Kobolds can't change their skin color
It's locked as their skin texture currently only can be changed by setting it to a specific color as Larian didn't make the texture compatible with changing the color in the Character Creation. A fix for this should be available with the release of 2.0
Kobold isn't compatible with all the Cinematic Cutscenes
I'm aware I had to strip some of the animations for the time being so that the race wouldn't stretch weirdly during some of the cinematic cutscenes or just cause the cutscene to flicker into a blurry mess. This is because some of the Kobold animations aren't compatible with the cutscene when you combine them with the Gnome animations so I had to pick and choose what I wanted you to have to deal with and chose to just remove the conflicts for now till I have the time to make fully compatible animations by merging the two. This will either be fixed in 2.0 or shortly after.
- I've added an alternative patch that makes the Kobold just use Gnome animations only which should be alot more compatible with cinematics but at the cost of all of the Kobold animations being removed from the Kobolds. So there won't be any tail animations.
With the patch installed your load order should look like the following:
- Fantastical Compendium
- Fantastical Kobold or Fantastical Kobold Legacy [Or Both]
- Kobolds - Gnome Animations
Reborn has Dhampir skills!
Playing a Reborn save prior to the 1.5.4 Fantastical Core or Fantastical Compendium 1.6 update and then adding those updates causes the Reborn to get Dhampir abilities. The only fix for this is to either not update your Fantastical Core till finishing that playthrough or update your Fantastical Core to 1.5.2 + Fantastical Reborn 1.5.4 and then use Appearance Edit Enhanced to update your Reborn to the update which separates Lineages into their own section for the Reborn 1.6 & Dhampir 1.6 rework coming.
Dhampir is invisible in my old playthrough
You likely need Appearance Edit Enhanced, to fix the heads, teeth, and body(to be compatible with Monk animations) I purged the old version and made new stuff from scratch. So what likely is happening is your old save is invisible because the body you once had no longer exists. Appearance Edit should fix this when updating from the old version of Dhampir and Fantastical Compendium to the new. You might also fix this if you just use the regular mirror but you made need to swap races for this to update in your old save so that's why I'm suggesting using Appearance Eidt Enhanced.
My Dhampir face is invisible in my old playthrough
All the old faces were deleted. You need to use the mirror and change your head to one of the new ones. Fantastical Compendium 1.6 and beyond added different faces.
RESOLVED & FIXED
- Dhampir portraits disappear, don't show up (Black Circle), or display weirdly. I'm aware, this is because the RootTemplate references old no longer supported portrait UUID's. Wave 5's update is going to be corrected in Wave 5.
- Monk animations don't work for a select few races when using some of the skills like Flurry of Blows. I'm aware, and it will be resolved in the next update.
- Long-Limbed when using a regular attack even when not holding a 2nd weapon will double the range as it adds in the off-hand weapon to increase the range. This will be resolved in a future update, I know how to fix it but it won't make it in Fantastical Core 1.6 (Release of Wave 5). Enjoy it while it lasts.
