Winged Tiefling Subrace
Winged Tieflings are an implementation of the Winged Variant Tiefling subrace from D&D 5e with slight alterations to better fit the gameplay of Baldur's Gate 3, as well as to balance the power inherent Flight may burden your Tav with. More information below.
Subrace Tag Selection
Nightborn, Fey'ri, Elamshinae, Velkyn'bol, and Isilmnir'el
Implemented through a method introduced by ghouls0rules, you will now be able to select which Tags you'd like to apply to your Tav in CC. This will allow you to tailor your experience and avoid undesired responses to your Tav by NPCs (looking at you, Drow tag). More information below.
Optional Patch: Hellish Resistance
This optional patch adds variants of Hellish Resistance to the game for those who'd prefer more thematic resistances. Resistances' damage type generally equals the damage type of the Tiefling Claws each subrace has access to:
Necrotic: Baalzebul, Nightborn
Force: Dispater, Mammon
Psychic: Fierna, Glasya
Cold: Levistus
Variant Tieflings may select their Hellish Resistance type, in a similar vein to Tiefling Claw type selection. They may choose from the following types: Acid, Cold, Fire, Force, Lightning, Necrotic, Poison, Psychic, Radiant, Slashing, and Thunder.

Optional Patch: Tiefling Claws as Bonus Action
This optional patch modifies the Tiefling Claw abilities to use a Bonus Action rather than an Action.

Miscellaneous backend house-keeping

Starting with v3.0 of the Tiefling Compendium you will be able to select your Tav's tags/ancestry in CC. Unfortunately as of right now this will only be available in new saves as these changes don't appear to carry over when changing your subrace with mods such as Appearance Edit.
Tag selection will be available for Nightborn, Fey'ri, Elamshinae, Velkyn'bol, and Isilmnir'el, as they are the subraces that had access to racial tags other than the Tiefling tag before v3.0. The Tiefling tag will remain baseline for compatibility reasons. The following tags are available for each subrace:
Nightborn: Rare, Fey*, No Race*, Baldurian, Underdark, No Home*
Fey'ri: High Elf, Wood Elf, Half-High Elf, Half-Wood Elf, Rare, Fey*, No Race*, Baldurian, No Home*
Elamshinae: Lolthsworn Drow, Half-Drow, Rare, No Race*, Baldurian, Underdark, No Home*
Velkyn'bol: Seldarine Drow, Half-Drow, Rare, No Race*, Baldurian, Underdark, No Home*
Isilmnir'el: Seldarine Drow, Half-Drow, Rare, No Race*, Baldurian, Underdark, No Home*
* Tags marked with a star have no impact on dialogue options and NPC reactions. They are included for roleplay value and (in case of no race/home) to provide options if you do not wish to select any of the options provided for your Tav.
Introducing New Subraces

“Although you may not be able to trace your lineage back to a singular Archdevil of renown, you've inherited the wings of your ancestors - whoever they may be -, allowing you to traverse the battlefield by flight rather than foot.”

The implementation of the Winged Tieflings' wings is not perfect.
Some clipping, particularly with clothing, may occur, and the appearance of the wings' connection to the body includes a visible seam due to the difference between the bodies these wings were originally created for in vanilla BG3 and the Tiefling bodies.
Additionally, the placement of the wings varies between bodies, with bodies 1 and 2 having the highest placement, and bodies 3 and 4 having lower placement. Unfortunately this is not something I was successful in adjusting without causing more issues than doing so would solve.
Out of all 4 bodies, body 4 is by far the one with the most issues - please be aware of this before selecting this body for your Tav if you intend to play this subrace. Brief "jittering" of the wings after certain animations and "snapping" of the wings back into their original position are the most obvious issues.
Lastly, these wings may not play nicely with every cutscene out there. As I'm sure many are aware (as this is by no means the first modded race with wings) large wings have a tendency to partially or mostly obscure the screen at certain angles. Please be aware of this.
Ultimately, I felt these issues were something that at the very least I personally can live with.
Hopefully, as the modding scene progresses, modding tools are released, and my personal skills surrounding 3D assets in particular improve, I'll be able to make further adjustments to these wings and their animations and ideally fix many of these issues.
