Had no idea I missed the intense glow of tiefling's eyes so much until now hnsjdahjkda I'm entranced- q.q Gorgeous set!!!! ♡♡♡ the first environmental was very soothing ngl, as well as the shot with the trees slightly showing :O Always super happy to see Halcyon & Ruby, literally every chara is (꒪ཀ꒪) as someone who loves their culture, I can’t believe I only really have one drow chara fleshed out smh ♡ Tysm for sharing!!!!! ^^
Imgur is... "okay"... for most uses. Personally, I think it's just good for memes and gifs lol. It compresses pics way too much, doesn't allow "saucy" content, and I never liked that the images linked through it don't directly show at full size when you open them in a new tab. ImgBB, on the other hand, is perfect. Allows much bigger pics with little to no compression. Sometimes it takes longer to load pics, but it's great. I sometimes use Flickr as well, but I would never recommend it tbh. When you upload a pic with ImgBB you have to copy the "BBCode Full".
I'm taking so many landscapes lately and very few portraits 😭 The game is just too pretty and it feels so novel to capture locations I've visited so many times from a lower angle and FoV. So much beauty around every corner. Also so weird to see caves from the inside when I'm so used to them having no ceiling. Ruby's now in Act 3 and I'm taking it so slow, kinda don't want the playthrough to end tbh. Having a team of 4 Wild Magic Sorcs is insanely fun 😂 Halcyon is still in Act 1, so plenty more to go ^^
Also amazing to know!! The game truly is beautiful, and the shots create a refreshing view of it, regardless of the hours played. (Never considered cave shots…ever lol) they feel sneaky :p lol amazing to know there’s more food, I’ll have to try a full Wild Magic sorc run LOL idk why that sounds hilarious to me? A bit chaotic? I’ve done a full monk squad and that was OP but oh so fun! >:3
especially the one where you toke picture of the book
But I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3 the last couple of days, and if you don't mind, I've got a few questions before I give up on it. The game is simply very blind unfriendly. The first day or so I realized at one point I'd missed out on finding a lot of important items because I discovered the hard way that holding ALT does not reveal all clickable items. So important dead bodies I need to search or injured NPCs I can talk to, buried under the rubble, I simply miss completely.
But one of the worst parts is I simply can't figure out where I need to go. If I open the map (M) to look at quest targets, the mini map keeps spinning around on me, and I can't figure out which way to the quest targets.
However, if I use the setting to always point north on the mini-map, I simply can't figure out which way I'm pointing on the main screen, so I can never reconcile the main screen with the mini-map to know which way to go toward quest targets.
I'm at a complete loss and, after 23 in-game hours trying to figure out where to go, I'm about to give up. But I was waiting for your next BG3 post to see if I could ask you about it in case there's a trick I'm missing.
Thanks as always. And now that I know more about the game itself I'm doubly impressed with your screen shots :)
[p.s. I picked Monk, though that may have been a silly choice as it turns out monks are not very strong, haha. But Monk was my third favorite class in AD&D back in the late 1970s and early 1980s]
Oh yeah, Steam has told me on occasion that you've been playing Baldur's Gate lol. Sad to read that you've been struggling with it though. I think ALT highlights potentially valuable containers, but still ignores most crates and such. For NPCs, I believe you can highlight them in and out of combat by pressing "~".
I use the North-pointing mini-map option as well. Wasn't by choice lol, but I've gotten used to it. Though I suppose it's better than the default spinning option. Honestly, I don't think I rely on it anymore except for combat. I've played the game so many times I struggle to remember how it was for me when I first started. You could follow the roads and cross reference where you're going with the zone map. Like, click far ahead on a certain road and bring up the map while the party moves forward on its own -- could help you reach the quest location you're following. The party automatically finds its path forward, except if there's an unavoidable jump in the way. I hope this helps.
Monk is an excellent choice in BG3. It's one of the strongest classes along with Fighter and Paladin imo. I've had a monk in the party maybe thrice now. Way of the Open Hand with the Tavern Brawler feat is just too powerful and fun. I think the best build I've had with it so far was an 8/4 Monk (Open Hand) Fighter (Champion) multiclass. It was hilariously strong :p
