About this image
This is a scene that might occur between Sharran Tav and DJ Shart after the epilogue. Before meeting Shart, Tav worked as a guard at a Sharran-controlled sanatorium in the Lower City. In his youth, he was attacked by a Selûnite, leaving a scar on his right eye with residual divine energy. This made it impossible for him to get close to his Sharran companions (the same applied to Shart, at least until Chapter 2, when he sought Isobel’s help to remove the divine power). The leader of the sanatorium (also his adoptive father) had already struck a deal with the Flaming Fist before Tav joined, using the facility to help maintain order among the Lower City’s residents.
Truthfully, in my novel, the plot hasn’t progressed this far yet, but I hope my love for these two will keep me motivated to keep writing…

Actually, I'm a player from the Chinese community, so reading my work might be difficult for you...
While I hope this novel can capture the essence of 5e as closely as possible, I'm not a seasoned D&D enthusiast, so the worldbuilding might not be entirely satisfying...
(My English isn’t great, so I usually rely on DeepSeek to make machine translations sound more natural.)
This Sharran Tav/Shart-centric fic is still in the very early stages of Act 1, with a slow-burn narrative and a first-person POV. I’ve considered shifting perspectives between characters, but only when Tav is unconscious...
Also, I’ve been working on the latest chapter, but I’m stuck in a creativity block—so I can’t promise the best reading experience right now (ó﹏ò。)...

Maybe someday, when I’m desperate to unclog my creative block, I’ll toss out a simple text-and-image post like this again…
Still, I really appreciate your response. Over the past year, I’ve been hopping between Chinese and international forums/fandom spaces, but it’s a shame how few players truly grasp the brilliance of DJ Shart. To me, Shart choosing to sustain this relationship with Tav is, in itself, a struggle against Shar’s doctrine (˘•ω•˘)…
