Well, I've played the game for 900hrs since it released 3 months ago -- I think that's quite telling of how much I love it ^^
Best game I've played since Red Dead Redemption 2. If you would enjoy the setting, the turn-based combat, and the slow narrative, then you're guaranteed hundreds of hours of enjoyment.
Mods for this game are simple (so far); faces, hairs, piercings, additional equipment and such -- nowhere as advanced as Cyberpunk or Skyrim yet. For the time being, I just take screenshots during cutscenes and edit them afterwards, but there are camera tools available for the game. I prefer waiting for an official photomode or a Nexus mod.
Hmm, no must-have mods for now, but those are really nice to get for (a lot) more character customisation options:
Tav's Hair Salon
Basket Full of Equipment. SFW version
Basket Equipment to Camp Clothing
Trips' Accessory Collection
New Character Creation Presets WIP
Vessnelle's Hair Collection
ImprovedUI ReleaseReady (This one is required by many mods)
Be sure to grab the BG3 mod manager as well: https://github.com/LaughingLeader/BG3ModManager/releases
I am not on Tumblr, just Twitter and Flickr. I think they'll have the mail working again soon.

oooh so excited!!!.
I think I got this game the day it released, with no prior knowledge of it at all -- yet it turned out to be a gem. I especially love how it's got that early 2000s RPG charm that made me fall in love with the genre.
Fabulous armor.
If I can ever tear myself aways from Skyrim AE, this will probably be my next destination.
I'd highly recommend giving the game a shot whenever you're ready. For me, it came as the perfect replacement for Skyrim. It's so engaging (yet slow-paced/lengthy), replayable, and just so... liberating. Best game I've played in years. The developers truly did a fantastic job creating such a masterpiece.
Much appreciated and I agree it looks to be a very nice replacement for Skyrim.
