I started looking for items to make visible on the character...
Currently on the belt: "Throwable poison vial" sheathe, with a slightly flattened Potion of Invisibility in it. Thieves Tools.
Stuck into the Thieves Tools: Arrows of Fire, Smoke, and Acid, cut down to hand crossbow bolt size.
Stuck into the thigh leathers: A wand.
I like the idea of bringing rope as well, but haven't been able to make it hang in a natural-looking way yet.
Any suggestions for other items?

Also like the idea of class specific utilitiy belts, if you're thinking of going in that direction.
I'm mainly focusing on making stuff I'd use for my own character, and a tome wouldn't quality for that... but now that you've pointed it out it really bugs me that there are no tomes for wizards or warlocks to use. I'll add that to the todo list.
... or "book" anyway. I had to scale it down a lot to avoid clipping, so it doesn't feel right to call it a "tome" anymore.
