Deep in the Underdark exists a coven of vampires, spawned after its founders fled the sunlight of the surface. With their existence only known to a sacred few, the coven's growth has relied entirely on turning drow.
Introduction
Once again, this mod has been built around one of my OCs, so the design and abilities are primarily focused on her build with a few stolen touches from the in-game vampires and vampire spawn. Conceptually, these vampires are more powerful than the average drow, designed to fit with the idea a vampire spawn being stronger than its living counterpart. If this isn't your cup of tea, I'd highly recommend one of the other vampire mods available as there's been a lot of thought put into each of them!
Balancing
Two unique passives have a toggle so you can turn them off/on as it suits your preferred difficulty and style.
Passives & Resources
Blood Bank - Resource used to cast subrace spells. Can be restored by feeding on humanoid creatures. Resets with Long Rest.
Dark Predator - Attack rolls made outside of sunlight have an advantage. (toggle on/off)
Healing Sleep - Once per long rest, when your HP drops to 0, you will enter a Death Rally for one turn before collapsing into a Coffin Drop for your following two turns. At the end of your rest, you reenter combat with half of your maximum HP.
- Death Rally: For the next two turns, your movement speed is increased by 50% and you are immune from all damage except Radiant. At the end of your turns, you will collapse into a Coffin Drop for two turns.
- Coffin Drop: Once per long rest, after a Death Rally, you will fall asleep for two turns. While asleep, you are immune from all damage except Radiant and you will be restored to half of your maximum HP after awaking. You cannot be woken from this sleep prematurely.
Vampiric Regeneration - You regain hit points at the start of your turn if you are not in sunlight, or have taken Radiant damage or damage from Holy Water, in which case this trait doesn't function until the start of your next turn. (5 hp at start, 10 hp at level 5, 20 hp at level 12; toggle on/off)

Unique Spells/Actions
Bite - Retool of the vampire bite that spawn NPCs have. In addition to healing and restoring one Blood Bank, it slightly decreases the target's maximum HP. You receive the Happy condition for a successful attack.
Bat Wildshape - Transform into a bat that can fly and bite enemies.
NightFall -Rework of Hunger of Hadar that does Psychic and conditional Necrotic Damage along with blinding creatures inside of its radius. The caster is immune.
Misty Escape - Retool of Cazador's Misty Escape. Transform into a tiny mist cloud that does not provoke opportunity attacks. You will revert back to your physical form after one turn.
Feast - Gorge yourself on the life-source of your enemy, killing them instantly and completely restoring your Blood Bank. You receive the condition Sated for 3 turns.
- Sated: You receive +1 to all Attack Rolls, Saving Throws, and most Ability Checks. You also receive advantage on Strength Saving Throws.
Since this is a subrace, all CC mods that impact Drow will be available based on your Tav's body type. I have no plans to mod in heads that are designed for other races.
Potential Mod Conflicts
Other Drow Mods (no known conflicts as of 7/13) - Astralities Elven Mythology:
Installation
I strongly recommend BG3 Mod Manager, I have not tested alternate forms of installation.
Known Bugs/Quirks
- Dark Predator will be extremely OP for a Rogue. If you are looking for a challenge with that setup, I would recommend keeping this passive toggled off.
- If you are doing a solo run (i.e. no companions with you), the Coffin Drop signals an end of combat to the enemy AI, so they may change positions and/or restore hit points while you are asleep.
- Healing Sleep does not trigger until after your first long rest.
