Fixed Opportune Backstab triggering on misses and other actions. Should now only trigger on hits.
Version 0.1
Added Opportune Backstab.
Added Lightning Reflexes.
Introduction This mod aims to enhance the Rogue's combat effectiveness via the implementation of a few simple and thematic additions.
Class Features Opportune Backstab - Level 5 When a close-by enemy is hit by an ally, you capitalize upon the distraction. Make an attack against the triggering creature.
Lightning Reflexes - Level 11 You gain an additional reaction per round.
Reasoning As D&D 5e optimizers know, The Rogue struggles to keep up with the other martial classes when they are well-built. This mod takes inspiration from the tabletop tactic of getting the Rogue to attack off-turn to make use of Sneak Attack twice to match other martial classes' DPR. I favor this change over giving the Rogue an Extra Attack because to me it feels both more mechanically unique and thematic.
That said, given how overtuned the Thief's extra Bonus Action is compared to the other subclasses, I would caution that using this subclass with this mod might be a tad overpowered.
Required Mods In order to be able to utilize Sneak Attack on reaction attacks, you need to get the Cunning Strike mod. Make sure that my mod comes after that one in the load order.
Credits A heartfelt thanks to Gycicada for walking me through this mod's creation. This mod is as much his as it is mine.
