Description

This mod combines the Dark Urge into Wyll's origin playthrough. Embrace the dark side of the blade of frontiers or reject the foul imaginations of your dreadful inheritance. This combination worked surprising well in my testing though roleplayers will definitely need their headcanon to make sense of some parts that clash thematically.

Instructions

  • Install "DarkUrgeWyllSETUP" with BG3 mod manager.
  • Start a playthrough as Wyll, wait a minute, and save the game. Your quest journal should have "Escape the Nautiloid" and "The Urge".
  • Quit the game.
  • Remove "DarkUrgeWyllSETUP" completely. (Delete permanently in mod manager)
  • Install "DarkUrgeWyll" with mod manager and play through the nautiloid normally.
  • Long rest at the beach to trigger Wyll's personal quest.
  • Keep "DarkUrgeWyll" installed when playing Wyll origin. Enjoy the game!

Important

This mod will break Wyll as a companion, remove mod when not playing a Wyll origin save. Some scenes will be overridden, for instance, the first Dark Urge long rest scene where you can contemplate your class is replaced by Wyll's first long rest scene. Major storybeats and long rest scenes should play normally for both origins but I have not played Act 3 properly yet to know how every scene behaves there.

If you know the exact trigger for a scene and it's not playing, try removing the mod for that moment in the playthrough (if missing scene is for Wyll) or swap to DarkUrgeWyllSETUP (if missing scene is for Dark Urge) since the weird prioritization of Origin "tags" on the player can be the potential cause.
