So here I present to you, some of the most iconic weapons from Drakengard 3 and the NieR Series.
These can be found inside the Tutorial Chest, as always.
Now updated, removed Modfix for better compatibility with Patch 7. Type-B Visor has a Higher Resolution mesh and set of materials for all bodies, Lunar Tear and Parasitic Flower have better, Higher Resolution materials, drastically improving their looks. Also added a new Visor, the Type-E Visor.
What's in it?
- Virtuous Contract: 2B's signature weapon, a white bladed Katana forged by a master blacksmith thousands of years before Automata.
- Cruel Oath: 9S's signature weapon, the counterpart of 2B's own weapon.
- Ashen Pact: 10H's signature weapon, yes, that 10H from the Novella A Much Too Silent Sea, and later featured on the very last Story Arc of NieR Re[in]carnation. It is a copy of 2B's sword created from memories inside the ruins of the Bunker, long after its destruction at The [E]nd of YoRHa.
- Type-4O Lance: While not A2's actual signature weapon, she is shown wielding it in official arts, as well as the game cover.
- Iron Will: One of the many weapons wielded by Nier, as well as an iconic recurring weapon dating all the way back from Drakengard.
- Kainé's Swords: Kainé's beloved signature swords, in all of their glory, so you can angrily brutalize your enemies.
- No. 7's Staff: Emil's signature staff, containing a remnant of his Sister's power.
- Zero's Blade: Zero's signature weapon from Drakengard 3, on it's final evolved form once Mikhail achieves his true power.
- Type-B Visor: A standard YoRHa visor for Battler units, that enhances their senses while looking stylish.
- Type-E Visor: An unique visor used by Executioner units, androids designed to hunt down and exterminate deserters and traitors.
- Lunar Tear: Kainé's favorite flower, gifted by her Grandma, and an exceedingly rare flower that, according to legend, is capable of granting wishes.
- Parasitic Flower: The Black Flower growing from Zero's right eye socket, that grants her the powerful Intoner Magic.
- YoRHa-Issue Standard Dye: So you can also wear the colours of standard YoRHA equipment. Glory to Mankind. Colour Schemes are shown on the Outfits used on the Images.
Also, 5 of these weapons have had their original meshes edited to better represent the "realistic" proportions we have in Baldur's Gate 3. If you'd prefer to use the original proportions, there are Loose Files in the Optional Files.
The Type-B Visor is a Dyable piece of headwear, while the Lunar Tear and Parasitic Flower cannot be dyed. They work for all body types, but might clip or have some other small visual issues on some heads, as I cannot (and wouldn't) make an unique mesh for each and every head variation. Dragonborn in particular may look wonky, but their heads are so different from regular human like ones, and even from each other, that it cannot reasonably be adapted to them all.
Unique Passives and Skills.
Those aren't exactly meant to be balanced like vanilla passives and skills, but I took special care to make them powerful, but not overly so. A few examples:
- Iron Will: Iron Will is a colossal hunk of raw Iron, so it requires immense Strength to even lift it. It imposes a -5 penalty on Attack Rolls, but makes it up by doubling your Strength modifier on these rolls. This means that it has 0 penalty at 20 Strength, and gets further bonuses at higher values, being +2 at 22 and +4 at 24.
- Energy Charge: Much like the vanilla Electric Blood, it grants Lightning Charges on hits. It also makes the weapon deal an additional 1d4 Lightning damage, and allows you to use Energy Discharge to generate even more Lightning Charges and attempt to Stun an enemy.
- Blade Mastery: When not wielding anything (shields included) on your Offhand, you get an additional Reaction, and can use it to Parry a Melee attack to reduce damage taken, and then Counter attack.
- YoRHa-Issue Weapon: Grants Advantage and 2d6 extra damage to Constructs. Death to the machines.
- Gonna #$@% You Up!: Sometimes Kainé gives in to fury, and so should you. This is a whopping seven hit flurry that makes any enemy that survives it bleed, but also leaves the user completely vulnerable for 3 turns. This is the price of being reckless.
- Intoner's Aria: The Power of Song is channeled through a melody that inspires nearby allies.
- Lunar Tear: Wish: Has 3 different Wish effects, each can only be used once. No, you cannot wish for Karlach's heart back, sorry.
- Singularity: The Ultimate Weapon has been unleashed. You can ravage an area with a singularity, dealing massive damage to anything caught inside, just like Emil does in Replicant. But just like Emil's, it engulfs everything inside, be it enemy, ally, civillian, or object, and even yourself.
What now?
There's a lot going on here. First, there's the Ultimate Tool for Amateur Modders, doing the heavy lifting of typing in all the .lsf with the proper templates while I just deal with what's important, the modifications.
Those assets do not belong to me, they all have been datamined from the now unavailable game NieR Re[in]carnation and compiled by the game's community. I can only claim the work I had on Blender while adjusting those assets to fit into BG3, but not the materials themselves.
I actually wanted to release this mod last month, but I hit a few walls while making it happen, some which I got helped by the Modding Community at Down by the River, and some others that I just had to playtest extensively, until I got everything working just as I intended to, as well as me having to redo some meshes all over again due to me learning new tricks on Blender that vastly improved the quality of my edits.
You reached the end, so if you want to, toss me some coin on Ko-fi? Accord needs to be paid for her delieveries, after all.
