About this mod
Introducing: Laserllama's Alternate Warlock! An Intelligence based warlock, with a wide variety of options and choices. The class currently works up to 12th level, and has two subclasses (Fiend and Great Old One).
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
"Become the master of occult lore you were meant to be!"
This is, as close as possible, a recreation of Laserllama's Alternate Warlock class.
Some warnings:
- This is the first version.
- Not thoroughly tested, and has plenty of bugs
WARNING Incomplete/Buggy content:
The Pact of the Tome, while in the game, is buggy, and functions poorly. It does not allow you to inscribe spells into your book, and it's elder arcanum does not work. The entire pact as whole needs either significant revision or experimentation to make it feasible, though the engine does not support many of its features.
Pact of the Blade's Elder Arcanum isn't working? Will likely be fixed quickly.
Great Old One's 6th level feature, Psionic Ward, has not been tested. May or may not work to some extent, and may or may not depend on turn-based mode being enabled.
An overview of what comes with the class, including notes:
Main Class
First Level:
Eldritch Blast (Slightly different compared to the 5e warlock), Eldritch Invocations (2)
Second Level:
Spellcasting (Follows standard Warlock spellslot levels, and has reduced spells learned, but higher spells known total and a slightly different spell list)
Subclass (Otherworldly Patron)
Third Level:
Pact Focus (Blade, Chain, and Tome)
- The blade and chain are relatively unchanged, but the tome has changed significantly
Eldritch Invocation (1, 3rd level)
Fourth Level:
Feat
Fifth Level:
Deepened Pact
- Similar to the Larian adaptation. Instead of being invocation tied, you simply get it. Notably, also uses the larian pact improvements 1:1, excluding tome, which learns 6 ritual spells (to compensate for being unable to learn them like a wizard could)
Eldritch Invocation (1, 5th level)
Sixth Level:
Otherworldly Patron Feature
Seventh Level:
Eldritch Invocation (1, 7th level)
Eighth Level:
Feat
Ninth Level:
Eldritch Invocation (1, 9th level)
Tenth Level:
Otherworldly Patron Feature
Eleventh Level:
Elder Arcanum
Twelfth Level:
Feat
Eldritch Invocation (1, 9th level)
An overview of the subclasses:
Fiend
2nd Level:
Patron Spells, Fiend Eldritch Blast (Increased damage, Fire damage, and ignores fire resistance)
Gain 2 patron spells as known spells at 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level. Among the spells is Immolate, a new 5e spell.
Dark One's Blessing. Works much like standard Warlock.
6th Level:
Dark Bargain. Add 1d10 and take 1d10 damage to a saving throw or check. (May have a bug with it working on other character's checks? Needs testing/bug fixing)
Accursed Blast. Your eldritch blasts prevent healing when they hit
10th Level:
Fiendish Resilience. Same as standard Fiend Warlock
Great Old One
2nd Level:
Awakened Mind. Resistance to Psychic Damage
Patron Spells, Old One Eldritch Blast (Increased damage, Psychic damage)
6th Level:
Mental Lance. Your eldritch blast prevents reactions on hit
Psionic Ward. Similar to standard warlock's Entropic Ward, but instead of advantage on your next attack, you make a single eldritch blast attack. 5 uses per long rest. (Looks to be working. Needs testing)
10th Level:
Thought Shield. Adjusts your wisdom saving throw bonus to be the same as your intelligence modifier. (Int + PB)
A quick overview of the Eldritch Invocations and Elder Arcanum:

Chain: Transform your familiar for 1 minute into one of 3 forms
New Pact Focus (Gain Tome, Chain, or Blade, while keeping your first focus. This also applies Deepened Pact to it)
