++++UPDATE: I'm not sure I will ever get around to adding support for other body types, as much as I'd like to. Mapping outfits is like pulling teeth for me. That being said, I give anyone reading this my permission to make a mod of their own utilizing this one for the sole purpose of making compatibility for this outfit with other body types.++++

Still not enough Bloodborne in your Baldur's Gate? My last two mods didn't quite scratch that itch for a remaster, PC version, or a sequel? Perhaps the next mod in my series of Bloodborne Mods will help. The most requested item on my previous two mod was this one: the Hunter's Garb.

Right out the gate, I want to get one thing out of the way: the outfit currently only works on body type 2. I have every plan to expand this to body type 1, but getting it to work at all was an utter nightmare for me that pushed my modding capabilities to their brink. I almost succumbed to madness at least two dozen time, so I figured I'd leave it alone for now. And yes, I know that the top is mirrored from how it is in Bloodborne. When I tried to fix that, it did...strange things to the model I wasn't able to fix, so just pretend your hunter likes to wear the belt over the opposite shoulder.

So what exactly is in this mod? A full set of armor including a hat, gloves, boots, chest piece, and a face mask (cloak) to make your character truly ready to take on the beast scourge. I tossed on some basic passive effects that felt thematic, but won't break your game. Additionally, I put in a collection of Caryll runes (amulets) to complete a full inventory of Bloodborne themed items when paired with my other two mods in the series. These are mostly minor effects that replicate the runes in game effects as closely as I could, but certain tweaks had to be made.

As with the Hunter's Tools mod, I made two versions of this particular mod, with a standalone one and one intended to be utilized with the others in the series. With the standalone one, all of the items will spawn in the tutorial chest and only there. With my Trick Weapon mod, every item included in this group will spawn alongside all of the others.

Other mods in the series:

Current issues:

  • The coat's sleeves stop abruptly. I will not be fixing this, as I had to clip the model so that it wouldn't look weird on the character. Please don't ask if this will be repaired in time, as it won't. The gloves perfectly cover this issue, so it isn't an issue with the set as is, and other gloves of similar length should also cover the gap
  • The coat's physics are a little wonky, but altogether alright. I have no idea how to improve on them and, honestly, with how long it took me to learn how to do that at all, I don't plan on delving into it further
  • Certain chins clip out of the face mask. I will not be fixing this, as it would require me to tweak the mask for *every* possible facial option and I have neither the time nor the energy to do that.
  • The garb's scaling +1/2/3 shows that it offers +1, +2, and +3 at all times, and I'm not at all sure why. However, looking at the bonuses, it provides the correct one for character level. I'm looking into it, but I'm really confused as to why the tooltip is wonky. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love it to hear em. It is just a visual bug, however, so don't worry! Your AC bonus is calculated properly.
  • The standalone version will not spawn the items. I cannot for the life of me figure out why and have given up trying to figure it out, so that file has been archived. Sorry.

Future plans:

  • I will make it so the outfit works with body type 1 and I'm sorry that I'm posting it before getting that done, but getting everything to work on any body type was a massive learning curve that drove me nuts, so I figured I'd toss it up as is and come back to it in a few days when my brain has recharged
  • Possibly remove the face mask as a separate item and make the hat have a masked and maskless version, but I haven't decided yet.
