About this mod
DnD 5R's PHB 2024 official changes to Eldritch Knight's War Magic AND Improved War Magic: You can exchange one of your attacks to cast a cantrip. You can exchange two of your attacks to cast a spell. Makes it so its main subclass feature (War Magic) actually synergizes with its main class feature (Extra Attack) instead of going against it.

War Magic (from DnD 5R's PHB2024): Learned at level 7. You can exchange one of your attacks to cast a cantrip. You can do attack + cantrip or cantrip + attack. When you get Improved Extra Attack at level 11 you can do any combination possible of the two attacks + cantrip. You can use the cantrip this way once per turn but Action Surge resets turn to allow it again.

Improved War Magic (from DnD 5R's PHB2024): Learned at level 12 (or level 18 if you use the optional ''Level 20 Mods Compatibility Patch''). You can exchange two of your attacks to cast a spell. You can combine it with another physical attack (which would leave you at zero attacks left) or instead you can cast a cantrip in exchange of your last attack. You can use the spell this way once per turn but Action Surge resets turn to allow it again.

This gives a lot more flexibility and strategy to Eldritch Knight gameplay and makes it so its main subclass (War Magic) feature actually synergizes with its main class feature (Extra Attack) instead of going against it.
For the time being, this feature only works with Extra Attack (level 5 Fighter) and Improved Extra Attack (level 11 Fighter), NOT with Superior Extra Attack (level 20 Fighter).

Advice to avoid improver attack counting:
- Your action point is equivalent to 3 attacks basically. A melee attack substracts 1 attack, a cantrip substracts 1 attack (yes, even melee cantrips like Booming Blade) and a spell substracts 2 attacks. You can only use the War Magic cantrip and War Magic Spell once per turn (you can't do 2 cantrips + 1 attack).
- Action Surge resets the amount of attacks left to 3, gives you an additional action point and allows you to use a War Magic Cantrip or Spell again. You should cast Action Surge only AFTER you are done spending your original attacks from your first action point. The action point granted by Action Surge can be used for anything (just like your first action point), unlike the action point granted by Haste (which is more limited).
- Hastened buff (from Haste spell) gives you an additional action point. You can get the buffed with Haste at any time, but you should completely spend the attacks of your first action point before you spend the second action point granted by Haste. For example: I want to cast two spells in the same turn thanks to Haste. Order of actions: Hold Person (spell, -2 attacks)>Ray of Frost (cantrip, -1 attack, now my first action point is completely spent)>Shatter (2nd spell, using the second action point granted by Haste). The second point granted by Haste follows Honour Mode rules (no extra attacks). If requested I can make a version that follows the lower difficulties' rules (let the additional action point of Haste work like Action Surge).
- Bonus Actions are ignored by this mod to allow for further tactical decisions and gameplay. For example, you can do something like: Hold Person (-2 attacks)>Misty Step (Bonus Action, attack count not affected)>Melee Attack (-1 attack).

War Magic Enhanced: Another War Magic mod made by community request for those who don't like OneDnD's version. Adjusts War Magic so Eldritch Knight can cast cantrips as a Bonus Action instead of an Action. This effect can be toggled on or off at any time. Not compatible with this mod obviously as it's an alternative take on War Magic. Also compatible with OneDnD Fighter 2024 mod by Argelia.
Compatibility
Now fully compatible with Argelia's Fighter - OneDnD - PHB2024 Changes mod! This mod was built as an extension of her War Magic implementation (to add the missing Improved War Magic) plus various bugfixes to the original script to better handle extreme cases and avoid miscounting of attacks. Make sure to load this mod AFTER her mod.
Compatible with almost anything else as it uses Compatibility Framework and scripts for its implementation. Only things that could possibly cause conflict are mods that also modify War Magic and mods that modify Extra Attacks but even then you probably won't have issues.
