Ever wondered why all the metal dragons for Dragonborn and Draconic Ancestry Sorcerers have duplicative damage types? Well, I did! The answer is that Fire, Lightning, and Ice are the only fleshed out mechanics. There's just a not a lot going on for Force Sorcerers. But what if things were different?

So, rather than writing new mechanics for the other damage types, which, honestly, sounds like a job for someone else, I updated the dragons to add all the BG3 damage types. I even updated the starting spells to match. I would strongly recommend you use 5e Spells or other custom spell list in order to take advantage of Elemental Affinity as there are woefully few spells for these other types.

Does this violate some kind of 5e lore or history? Of course not! I checked in with several independent sources, and we all agree, this makes perfect sense with every D&D book ever written. Rest assured, this mod is now canon.

Does resistance to Necrotic affect the difficulty of Act 2 or Psychic in Act 3? Of course not! I checked in with several independent sources, and we all agree, this perfectly balanced with the finely-tuned Larian settings. Rest assured, this mod is fair and balanced to you and your foes.

Does anything else not make sense to you? Well, I have a question for you: Have you tried not thinking those thoughts?

Shillelagh? Smite? What?
I thought it might be cool if the Sorcerer starting spells added were not available to Sorcerer. This is what I came up with. There's just not a lot of spells in Vanilla.

Future Release
Designing new Dragonborn breath weapon spells is a little outside my ability right now. Post on the Posts page and let me know you want it, and I'll make time for it.

To Install
Download the BG3 Mod Manager, import the mod zip file, and drag it to the left side to enable it. Don't forget to save and export the mod load order. You should see it as a Third-Party mod in the In-Game Mod Manager. You will almost certainly need to respec to see the Sorcerer changes, and I don't think there's a way to see the Dragonborn changes mid-save unless you also use something like Appearance Edit Enhanced (Resculpt).
