About this mod

I created the Verdan! Complete with 7 custom heads and both Tall and Short bodytypes. I loved the idea of these goblinoids and wanted to figure out a way to play them since they first appeared in the C-Team and now we can all play them in BG3!

The Verdan implementation is based on the Acquisitions Incorporated sourcebook. Their limited telepathy is simulated with having access to the detect thoughts option in dialog. The black blood healing is implemented by adding your level to incoming heals, BG3 handles short rests and regaining HP with hit dice a little different than tabletop and this seemed about right to me. They have their telepathic insight to give them advantage on Wisdom and Charisma saves, as well as proficiency in Persuasion. I couldn't figure out a way to give you an option to swap height when you get an ASI, but I'll keep trying and update if I crack it.

I hope you enjoy them!

A very special thanks to Padme4000, for extremely helpful tutorials and videos; and to Trips, for their Whispers of the Fey mods, which inspired me to believe I could make the Verdan race for BG3!

And an enormous thank you to the C-Team, Acquisitions Incorporated generally, to NurseNormal for her awesome artwork and to the Shadow Council: 'may my labors please you.'

A huge thanks to those original mod authors for permission to publish these patches!
Now, while most of the options work great out-of-the-box, there are some gaps between my custom heads and some hairs. I'm looking into a way to adjust the scalp to accommodate and maybe a way to apply a specifically modified head, in the cases where the gaps are very noticeable.
