Ever felt like Baldur's Gate 3's textures are blurry, despite running at maximum settings with forced anisotropic filtering? This massive texture pack is your answer.

After a week of processing using a node-based upscaling program called chaiNNer, the mod is finally ready for release! It upscales textures 4x, so a 1K texture becomes 4K, and so on. For those who want high resolution textures that adhere to the vanilla vision, or a pack to serve as a foundation for custom-made textures, this will work wonders. As there is already a great mod to replace armour and clothes, I have skipped them for this release but may pursue them at a later date.

For a truly [visually] transformative Baldur's Gate 3 experience, I suggest installing these mods in this order:

To install BG3 Texture Upscale Project, place the Generated folder inside your Baldur's Gate 3 Data directory.

Performance: with an upper-mid range system (mine is a 5800X, RTX 3080 10GB playing at 1440p using DLAA) you shouldn't notice a difference.

To upscale textures yourself, you can get chaiNNer here and download upscaling models here.

Feel free to use the files from this mod in any way you see fit - it is intended as a resource too.

I have retired from modding but may release the odd patch if necessity calls for it. Probably won’t, though. If you encounter striped textures in the latest version (1.6), please follow this report template:
