About this mod
This mod updates the Monk class to the 2024 PHB Monk (mostly).

Huge update. I noticed some bugs with the MartialArts levelmap in the
previous version. I reworked everything and have completed levels 1-12
in Monk and the three default subclasses. I believe everything added is
working. I have a few things left to add, such as the new Empowered
Strikes feature that lets you toggle between normal and force damage.
For design philosophy, I decided to leave all of the BG3 features and
skills in place (except the elemental spells, but I think they may need
to go back in to add some interesting play for Elements), adding in the
new features on top of what is in game.
New features are as follows:
- Base Monk
- Ki should be renamed to Focus
- added an "action" unarmed strike, so that you can attack unarmed while
holding a weapon. It uses the same kick animation as the bonus action unarmed strike - bonus action unarmed strike is usable before or after a normal attack and should trigger extra attack
- updated Martial Arts die levels (1d6 from levels 1-4, 1d8 from 5-10, 1d10 from 11-16, 1d12 from 17-20)
- updated Step of the Wind and Patient Defense to offer a separate focus-free version that only dashes or disengages respectively
- Uncanny Metabolism (level 2) restores focus and heals you for a martial arts die + monk level of HP, once per long rest
- Deflect Missiles updated to Deflect Attacks and should work for all weapon
attacks (melee or ranged). Return damage is set to 2 martial arts die + DEX modifier. - Empowered Strikes is still using BG3 version
- Heightened Focus (level 10) adds an additional Flurry of Blows (including Open
Hand versions) that provides a third attack for any Flurry of Blows. It does not currently remove the "inferior" non-heightened versions, so be careful to use the right one. - Updated Stillness of Mind to no longer cost an action point when automatically triggered.
- Self-Restoration (level 10) just uses BG3's Purity of Body for simplicity
- Warrior of Shadow
- Darkness costs 1 focus point, and you can see in magical darkness (essentially Devil's Sight)
- PHB removes Pass Without Trace and Silence, but I left them in at BG3 cost (2 focus)
- Improved Shadow Step (2024 PHB level 11) is not implemented yet, but we still have access to Shadow Strike
- Warrior of the Open Hand
- Added three variants of Heightened Flurry of Blows (level 10) that each add a third unarmed strike to the existing effects.
- Fleet Step still needs to be added (level 11)
- Warrior of the Elements
- This got the most changes and I'm still not 100% happy with how it's implemented.
- All elemental spells are removed
- At level 3, unlock Elemental Attunement, which provides 5 elemental auras
(Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning and Thunder) similar to the Open Hand Manifestations.- These are supposed to change your damage type completely into the element you choose, but I haven't figured out how to
do that yet. - Instead, they add your proficiency bonus in that element's damage to all your attacks, as well as increase your unarmed
range to ~15 feet (including flurry of blows, unarmed stunning strikes, etc)

- At level 6, unlock Elemental Burst, a Monk Chromatic Orb type spell that deals 3*Martial Arts Die in Damage and
possibly makes surfaces, for a cost of 2 focus points each. - At level 11, unlock permanent Flight
