The AI functionality:
* The main Gabes Mod does NOT change NPC AI. If you want that, you need to use the Gabes Mod (AI Addon) file.
- Gabes Mod (AI Addon) changes very few AI options and, if used with other AI mods, should be loaded LAST.
- It does make AI a bit more brutal. I cannot promise perfection, but I have personally observed more NPC coordination and a higher focus on "soft" targets.
* The main Gabes Mod is an applicator only. This simply adds passives to Companions and Summons that auto-activates when combat begins. This prevents issues with dialogue, equipping or changing gear, etc. It uses Larian AI, though custom AI files (such as my AI Addon or Combat Extender (CX AI file)) will work just fine with my mod.
* There are multiple AI Archetypes. None of these are custom, or customizable, which means they are stable.
- Melee
- Caster (offense, defense, and healing)
- Rogue
- Ranged (more Ranger-focused than Caster)
- Monk
- Four Elements (Monk, but the AI also considers melee magical abilities as well)
- Default (uses whatever the AI coded into the Companion or Summon file uses, recommended for most cases)
* It also has a toggled passive that creates a 20m AoE Default AI for any allied summoned creatures. This is VERY useful for those of you using summon-heavy builds or mods. Bone Sculptor was designed specifically to take advantage of this functionality.
Additional functions:
* I have added a few other functions to this mod because I personally wanted them. They are all toggled passives:
- Resource Reset (Default ON): this resets all base-game resources (and some used by the Artificer mod) after combat ends. The purpose is to make Long Rests optional for story, etc, and not a mandatory hassle.
- Ability Mirroring: this allows enemies to learn spells cast on them and potentially use those spells against YOU.
- Helldusk Nightmares: this gives any non-boss enemies in a 20M radius a 1% chance to turn into YOU, but with some of the best gear in the game and double their normal health. These CANNOT be looted (no freebie Helldusk, sorry).
- Mimics (Default ON): This gives any enemies in a 20m radius a 2% chance to become YOU. Your look, your gear, your attitude. These CAN be looted, though you shouldn't be getting duplicates of your armor from these.
Potions are located:
* In the tutorial chest near Shadowheart on the Nautilus
* At Arron in the Grove
* At the Harper Quartermaster (Act 2)
* At Sticky Dondo (Act 3)
** If using the Random Loot mod, load mine AFTER Random Loot **
** I HIGHLY recommend you also download Hurr Durr and my AI Addon (see optional files) **
* Hurr Durr gives you a free Action Point (maximum of 1 per cycle) if your AI gets stuck and fails.
