About this mod

* Allows you to steal your target's identity, their spells, or both!

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Have you ever seen a really cool NPC and wanted to BE that NPC?
Or really, really wanted to go deep in the whole RP scene?
Have you ever wanted to play a TRUE Doppelganger, or a thief that can wear faces?
Have you ever seen a spell cast by another party member, or NPC, and wished you could cast it as well?
Maybe it's a different class, NPC-specific, or something else.
Now you CAN!

** Now with the ability to store forms, as well as 17 pre-saved forms to choose from! Go HERE to learn more! **
** Now with a pop-up that provides the spell name and the ability to refuse a spell if you do not wish to learn it **
** Now with a Makeover! ability that allows you to change the visual of NPCs! See my article link above for details **

* This mod allows you to steal your targets entire identity, and also give others the ability to do so
- This includes: tags, name, appearance, buffs, and some spells
- This also includes spells cast on you (may not include AoE spells)
- Works on corpses, so you can murder someone, hide their body, and take their place (should not affect the story, RP purposes only)

* TO USE: Put on the ring. Cast the spell. To reclaim your identity, click Reclaim Identity.
- To add or remove Identity Theft from a companion/summon that is NOT using the ring, cast Identification Theft Training on it.
* You will be able to steal your targets next cast spell for up to TEN turns (60 seconds). The stolen spell is PERMANENT.
* Stolen spells retain their requirements, which means any spell requiring special conditions will be unusable.
* Mod also provides action resources (Rage, Bardic Inspiration, etc) that will allow you to use stolen spells and abilities.

- The Orb is meant for those not wanting to use the ring, but still wanting the Spell Thief abilities.
- Toggle on the Observe and Learn passive (Orb in inventory or Ring equipped) to be able to automatically learn one spell per fight.
- You may manually use Spell Theft as often as you like, it is independent of Observe and Learn

* Wildshape uses most of the same rules and restrictions as normal Wildshape. This is intentional and I will not be adjusting this.
* Wildshape will increase (but never decrease) your health if the chosen form has more health than you currently have.
* Wildshape uses a hotbar with limited abilities (limited due to code issues). If you steal the identity of a creature with MORE abilities, those additional abilities should also be stolen.-- I have confirmed that the Wildshape ability DOES give you the Str, Dex and Con from your target but does NOT affect your Int, Wis or Cha scores.
-- I have confirmed that the Wildshape WILL provide similar abilities that are usually part of Druid Wildshapes if your target has such abilities (such as Claws).
-- Wildshaping into a creature marks it as a Wildshape for recall purposes. If you save that form (cannot save while Wildshaped), then recall it, it will Wildshape you again.
-- To mark a Wildshape form as not-Wildshape, use Wild Shape: Remove on the target. Recalling that form will transform you normally.
-- To re-mark a form as Wildshape, simply cast the Wild Shape ability on it again.

* When making my Street Rats mod a thought occurred to me: you could become a child and do romance scenes. This is not acceptable. To combat this, if you become a child with this mod and play normally, you're fine, no big ****. If you become a child and enter camp, you will be kicked out of your transformation.

* A note on stolen spell scaling/ability:
- I have not tested this, and stolen spells show up under the Common tab, not the Class tabs.
- Per this wiki article: "Spells from other sources (including items, Illithid Powers that require a saving throw, and using scrolls directly from inventory)
use the spellcasting ability of the class the creature most recently took a first level in."

** MODDERS: if you wish to add these abilities to your NPCs, pets, etc just add this Status BOOST to them: Gabe_RoIDT_Unlock
Be warned, though, Identity Theft likely will not work on NPCs. Spellthief, however, will
