This is my first mod, like ever, and it was an ambitious entirely new class with 4 subclasses. It started out as an exploration of seeing if I could as I knew nothing about modding at all. Thankfully the modding toolkit was released and made organization and research quite a bit easier. I hope whomever tries it enjoys what I made and it helps fulfill a niche class fantasy that you were looking for in BG3.
NOTE: PLEASE SEE ARTICLES FOR NEW ITEM UUID AND LOCATIONS, 13-20 PROGRESSION DETAILS
Class Overview:
The witch is an intelligence based full caster with limited spells known like the sorcerer. Instead they gain the majority of their spells through a chosen witch's craft. Additionally they use the resource witchery to cast spell-like effects at great efficiency, often circumventing concentration requirements at the cost of duration. Similarly, witches use witchery to curse their targets with unusual conditions, often targeting saves that are mental instead of physical.

Quick FAQ:
- Will you add progression to level 20? Most likely not, but feel free to multiclass this mod into other classes to get there!
- Can you improve X feature? Maybe, post and we can discuss :D
- Is this mod compatible with [other mod here]? I'm not sure, the only requirements should be improvedUI. The mod was created without any scripts and purely through the toolkit. Since this is my first one, I'm not sure how things would interact.
- Can you add compatibility with [insert other mod]? I can try, just give me a shoutout in posts.
- Can you add localization with [x] language? I have no idea how to do that, may need to depend on the kindness of others here.
- Will this mod be on mod.io? Ummm...I'm still figuring that out, my struggle with icons and previews are eternal.
- Balancing?: It's homebrew, it's crazy, I'm not sure what maybe too much, but let's experiment and see.
- Better Nexus Description: Not going to lie, this is a very basic mod page, I do want to make it fancier eventually.
- Update homebrew page: It's there but it could be better.
- Bug Fixes: I know they're out there but there's only so many I can find.
- Better Tooltips: Some things aren't the most clear, please report in posts if you something that needs more clarity.
- Items: Customized items to help enhance every witch's journey.
Credits and Massive Thanks to:
Witch by DMHavuhk that provided the basic chassis and inspiration for this homebrew. While I started out trying to replicate it in whole, I veered off a bit. If you're looking for a table top version of Witch this is one of my favorites.
ImADoctorNotA for the many guides and videos, I understood nothing but these gave me the courage to try.
BG3 Wiki for the ability to search up conditions and basic modding guides.
KiderionLykon's Icon Generator was really helpful in setting things up as I'm not the most artistic, maybe I'll commission real icons eventually, but for the moment they're AI generated.
Djmr's guide on action resource icons, because icons in modding are basic sorcery and I do not understand a thing.
The Whispering Promise for challenging my preconceptions of what a magic item could do and being my ol' faithful I pick up on every play through.
