About this mod

This is a homebrew subclass that I made because I like poison damage, but it falls off in Act 2. It focuses on reliably dealing poison damage and applying the poisoned condition.

Level 3.


Serpent's Fangs:
Your melee weapon attacks deal an additional 1d4 poison damage. Additionally, you have resistance to poison damage and advantage on saving throws to avoid the poisoned condition.

Serpent's Poison:
Once per turn when you hit a target with a melee weapon attack, they must succeed on a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be poisoned for two turns.

Spell Save DC = 8 + Proficiency Bonus + Constitution Modifier.


Level 6.

Potent Poison:
You ignore resistance and immunity to poison damage.

Venomous Edge:
You deal additional damage equal to your constitution modifier to poisoned targets.


Level 10.

Toxic Critical:
When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, the target takes an additional 4d6 poison damage.

Toxic Demise:
You can use your reaction to deal poison damage equal to your constitution modifier to all enemies within a 3m radius. Additionally, they must succeed on a constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 2 two turns.
