Prepare yourself to embark on a great scavenger hunt across Baldur's Gate as you search for the mystical Psychic Armory, a powerful set of gear said to bolster the strength of psychic casters. Two mysterious benefactors have left you a strange trail of clues and riddles to follow, beginning on the Nautiloid. Are you up for the challenge?

Can you defeat the 3 Keepers and restore the Star of Ascension?
Can you find all the pieces of the legendary Psychic Armory?


Be sure to pay attention to item descriptions, ability names and tooltips as you travel across the lands in search of your prize.

Due to items being placed all throughout the world in all 3 acts and on the Nautiloid, a new game is recommended. Items may not spawn into the world in locations that you have already loaded in an existing playthrough.
For those of you who don't want to scavenge but still want to play with the gear, download the Item Shipment Framework to have a bag full of every item provided by this mod shipped directly to your camp chest.

Playing as a Mesmerist will provide additional synergy between the Psychic Armory and your class chassis. Load Psychic Armory AFTER Mesmerist in your load order

Diadem of the Watcher/Voidseer's Crest
Hypercognition: When an enemy fails a Charisma, Intelligence, or Wisdom Saving Throw against one of your spells or cantrips, you regain 1d6 hit points. When you inflict a harmful mind-affecting effect on an enemy, you gain 2 turns of Arcane Synergy.

Psion's Retribution: When you pass a Saving Throw against a hostile effect, gain 1 charge of Psion's Retribution. Up to 3 charges can be stored at once, and can be consumed to cast devastating Stares on a target. All charges are lost when a Stare is cast.

  • Delfox's Deliverance (1 charge): A technique derived from Perry Delfox, a renowned Mesmerist and the first to tap into the Aspect of the Eyebiter, deal 2d8 psychic damage and potentially make the target Fearful.
  • Silvertongue Sight (2 charges): Developed by a legendary Daredevil Mesmerist, Vaegon Silvertongue, this gaze calls forth the Astral Plane to deal 3d8 psychic damage and potentially Slow the target. On a successful save, the target is still Fearful.
  • Watcher's Gaze (3 charges): The Watcher sees all. Deal 4d8 psychic damage and potentially afflict the target with Flesh to Stone (Stage 2). On a successful save, the target is still Slowed.


Sidereal Wrap/Psion's Shroud
Psion's Reprisal: When a creature suffering any harmful mind-affecting effect deals damage to the wearer, the creature needs to make a Constitution Saving Throw or become Dazed for 2 turns.

Etheric Field: When the wearer is afflicted by a harmful mind-affecting effect or any effect which renders them unable to move, they create a field of Etheric Shards with 6m/20ft radius that lasts until the end of their next turn.

  • Enemies treat the Etheric Field as difficult terrain
  • At the beginning of their turn, enemies take 1d8 piercing damage and may become afflicted with Psychic Bleed (2 points of psychic damage per turn)
  • At the end of their turn, enemies take 1d8 slashing damage and may start Bleeding




Psion's Studded Leather/Psion's Ward/Psion's Aegis/Mindwyrm Mail
Stealth +1/Stealth +2

Balance +1/Balance +2 (+1/+2 on all Dexterity saving throws and ability checks)

Concentrated Guidance/Silvertongue's Blessing: While concentrating on a spell, gain a +1d4 bonus to all Skill Checks and Ability Checks/and the benefits of Bless


Ast
ral Aegis:
  • +2 AC
  • Psionic Detonation: Enemies who hit you with a weapon attack take 1d6/1d8 psychic damage
  • Psychokinesis (toggleable effect): Enemies who hit you with a melee attack are pushed back 3m/10ft, enemies who hit you with a ranged attack are pulled toward you 3m/10ft.
  • Divided Mind: Your Astral Self will maintain concentration on your Astral Aegis for 10 turns, making concentration checks using your Wisdom modifier if you are damaged. This allows you to concentrate on another spell for this duration, after which you will re-attain concentration on your Aegis.


Glittering Gloves/Astral Grasp
Astral Magic: Add a debilitating rider effect to your next spell.
  • Menacing Spell: On your next spell, your target becomes Frightened for 3 turns on a failed Wisdom Saving Throw.
  • Entrancing Spell: On your next spell, your target becomes Charmed for 3 turns on a failed Wisdom Saving Throw.
  • Note: This works on AoE spells as well, potentially affecting multiple targets at once.

Astral Spellmight (toggleable): When casting a spell that requires a Saving Throw, you can take a -5 penalty to your Spell Save DC to afflict a target with Astral Castigation if they fail the Saving Throw at the reduced DC.
  • Target has Disadvantage on attack rolls and all attacks against it are critical hits.



Mindwalkers/Treads of Psychic Stride
Psychic Stride: When you deal 5 or more points of psychic damage, or pass a mental Saving Throw, you gain 1 turn of Momentum.

Eclipsing Penumbra: Teleport to a target location and unleash a 6m/20ft aura of Dissonant Dread upon your foes, striking in their hearts the fear of the unknown things which exist outside of mortal comprehension.

  • Within the Dissonant Dread, you gain the benefits of Sentinel, an extra reaction, and teleport to your enemy as part of making your attack of opportunity.
  • Enemies in the Dissonant Dread have their move speed quartered and are afflicted with Despair, which grows in intensity while they remain in the Dread.




Thoughtlink Locket/Mindmeld Pendant
Penetrating Intuition: You have Advantage on Insight Checks.

Thoughtsense: You gain Advantage on Charisma Checks in dialogue against the target. In combat, gain a +2 to AC, Attack Rolls and damage rolls against the target. When the target misses an attack against you, these bonuses increase by +1. At +5, your next successful weapon attack against the target inflicts Condensed Ether for 3 turns, and all other bonuses reset.

  • Condensed Ether: Target is Slowed and has a 20% miss chance on all attacks.

Mindmeld: Possess a creature, forcing it to act according to your will. You cannot be targeted by spells or attacks while possessing another creature, but can take no other actions until the Mindmeld is broken.

Adamant Ring/Manifestation's Edge
Defensive Manifestation: Upon casting a Concentration spell, gain 3 Phrenic Visages that each grant +1 to your AC and Saving Throws. Whenever you take damage, you lose 1 Visage. For each turn that you maintain concentration, you regain 1 Visage. If you maintain concentration with all 3 Visages, you gain a stacking +1 Damage Reduction per turn.

Psionic Concentration (requires either the Valiant Ring or Desperation's Edge equipped): As a reaction, end your Concentration to automatically pass a Saving Throw 1/Short Rest.



Valiant Ring/Desperation's Edge
Offensive Manifestation: When you lose concentration on a spell, you gain a decaying bonus on Attack Rolls equal to the level of the spell on which you were concentrating, as well as 5 temporary hit points per spell level.

Psion's Resolve (requires either the Adamant Ring or Manifestation's Edge equipped): When toggled on, your Concentration cannot be broken by taking damage.



Protean Blade/Astral Echo/Voidpiercer/Dreamweaver
Attunement: You add your Spellcasting Ability Modifier to Attack Rolls in place of your normal ability modifier.
  • Upgrade: You cannot be disarmed of this weapon, and it returns to you when thrown.

Causality: The number you need to roll a Critical Hit while attacking is reduced by 1/2. When you land a Critical Hit, you can attack again as a bonus action that turn.

Musica Universalis (weapon action): On a successful Perception check, you ignore Resistance to Psychic and Piercing damage for 10 turns.
  • Upgrade: You may also Bane your target on a hit.
  • Upgrade: Gain a +2 to each of your physical ability scores.

Mysterium Cosmographicum (follow-up to Musica Universalis): On a successful Performance check, you ignore Immunity to Psychic and Piercing damage, and receive Celestial Haste
  • Upgrade: Gain a +2 to each of your mental ability scores.

Akashic Quadrivium (follow-up to Mysterium Cosmographicum): On a successful Constitution saving throw, you apply Vulnerability to Psychic and Piercing damage on a hit, and receive a special Death Ward that lasts until short rest and emits an aura dealing 1d10 Cold damage to all enemies.


Mistcaller
Virtuoso: You are considered proficient with this instrument while it is equipped.

A Matched Set: Mistcaller provides bonuses for wearing a full set of the Psychic Armory, such as Focus or Serenity, as well as other secret bonuses.

  • Focus: You are immune to the Charmed and Frightened conditions
  • Serenity: You are immune to Confusion, Domination, Fleeing and Possession statuses, and can radiate the benefits of Focus to allies within 9m/30ft.

Call The Psionic Sentry: Summon the elusive Psionic Sentry. How do you obtain its favor? How do you upgrade Mistcaller?


Compatibility
(Mainly for other mod authors)

This mod should be compatible out of the box with any class mods or mods that add other gear, such as Mystic or Mind Weaver. If you do find any incompatibilities though, please let me know.

Due to overwriting base game scripts, this mod is incompatible with others that modify the .khn script StatusDoesNotInterruptPerform()
Due to overwriting an unused surface in the game files, this mod is incompatible with others that modify PotionAntitoxinCloud
