About this mod

Brings the Grave Domain subclass for Clerics to Baldur's Gate 3, as close as you can probably get to its 5e version.

GRAVE DOMAIN HAS COME TO BALDUR'S GATE 3!

My second Cleric subclass mod, and one of my favorite Cleric domains! The already existing versions of Grave Domain are great, but I felt like it could be closer to its 5e counterpart, so here we are.

SUBCLASS FEATURES

DOMAIN SPELLS

1st level: Bane, False Life
3rd level: Prayer of Healing, Ray of Enfeeblement
5th level: Revivify, Vampiric Touch
7th level: Blight, Death Ward
9th level: Insect Plague, Greater Restoration

At 1st level, you gain the ability to manipulate the line between life and death. When you would normally roll one or more dice to restore hit points with a spell to a creature at 0 hit points, you instead use the highest number possible for each die.
NOTES
Works RAW.

At 1st level, you may instill a sense of impending doom in surrounding undead, eyes fixed on the destruction of their unholy existence. For 1 minute, you have Advantage when attacking undead, and they have Disadvantage on attacks against you.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
NOTES
Since the 5e Eyes of the Dead doesn't do anything at all in BG3, I created my own version that builds a bit on the name of the feature. Works like it says on the tin.

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to mark another creature's life force for termination. As an Action, you choose one creature you can see within 9m of you, cursing it until the end of your next turn. The next time you or an ally of yours hits the cursed creature with an attack, the creature has Vulnerability to all of that attack's damage, and then the curse ends.
NOTES
Works RAW. Unlocks an interrupt that triggers automatically, which was required for it to only work on attacks and not on spells that force saving throws, so don't disable that one.

At 6th level, you gain the ability to impede death’s progress. As a Reaction when you or an ally that you can see within 9m of you suffers a critical hit, you can turn that attack into a normal hit.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest.
NOTES
Works RAW. Triggers not only when a character rolls a crit, but also on guaranteed crits against creatures affected by e.g. Hold Person.

Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any Cleric cantrip.
NOTES
Works RAW. Already existed in the game files.

At 17th level, you can seize a trace of vitality from a parting soul and use it to heal the living. When an enemy you can see dies within 9m of you, you or one ally of your choice that is within 9m of you may regain 15 hit points. You can use this feature only if you aren't incapacitated. Once you use it, you can't do so again until the start of your next turn.
NOTES
*Requires a mod that allows levelling past level 12.*

When a nearby creature dies, you unlock a temporary spell that allows you to heal yourself or an ally for 15 hit points. I found that this was a reasonable middle ground as hit dice aren't used in BG3.

POTENTIAL ISSUES/DISCLAIMERS

•   On extremely rare occasions where attackers have a very low critical threshold (which probably never happens), crits might go through anyway when trying to use Sentinel at Death's Door.
•   The Path to the Grave interrupt unlocked by the caster whenever you cast it is supposed to be Enabled without the Ask box ticked. If you happen to play a custom game with the "an interrupt always asks if you want it to trigger" ruleset enabled, it'll pop up regardless. I had to implement it this way for it to not trigger off non-attack damage, like if the target gets the Burning status and takes damage from it before it gets attacked.

INSTALLATION WITH BG3 MOD MANAGER

1.
Start BG3 Mod Manager and press the "Open Mods Folder" button on the top bar, or press Windows + R and type %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods\.
2.
Open "GraveDomain.zip" and place "GraveDomain.pak" in the Mods folder.
3.
Refresh the mod list in BG3 Mod Manager by pressing F5, and move the mod from inactive mods to active mods in the mod manager window. If you encounter any issues, try placing it further down in the load order. Make sure you use the "Public" profile.
4.
Click "Save Load Order to File" in the top bar and launch the game.
