Birthsigns of Faerûn introduces a fully original zodiac-inspired system to Baldur’s Gate 3, offering 12 unique Astral Signs that grant each character a distinctive identity, passive traits, and a powerful ability usable once per long rest.

Inspired by The Elder Scrolls' birthsigns and woven deeply into the Faerûnian calendar, this system adds both mechanical flavor and narrative depth to your playthroughs—without disrupting balance or class identity.

✨ Customize Your Origins ✨

Characters born on special days like Greengrass, Midsummer, or Feast of the Moon can choose between two adjacent signs and gain a minor Ability Score increase, making birthdays matter in more ways than one.

A default sign is attributed to each potential party member by default, which match their narratives. 

Astarion: The Spider 🕷️
Astarion thrives on charm, seduction, and manipulation. Beneath his polished veneer lies a ruthless survivor who excels at social control. The Spider sign reflects both his allure and his danger.

Gale: The Owl 🦉
Gale is a true student of the arcane. Logical, intellectual, and ambitious, he is driven by the pursuit of magical mastery and the weight of his knowledge. The Owl fits his scholarly ideals.

Karlach: The Stallion 🐎
Wild-hearted and full of fire, Karlach seeks freedom and lives with unrestrained passion. Her strength is physical and emotional. The Stallion reflects her joyful momentum and longing for liberty.

Shadowheart: The Raven  𓄿
Shaped by faith, secrets, and the divine unknown, Shadowheart is a mystic soul caught between shadow and light. Her path is guided by omens and inner conflict. Raven-born through and through.

Lae'zel: The Wolf 🐺
Loyal to structure and warlike ideals, Lae'zel is fiercely tactical and dedicated to proving herself. Her Githyanki discipline and martial drive embody the Wolf sign.

Wyll: The Boar 🐗
Driven to do good but unafraid to use infernal tools, Wyll combines self-sacrifice with ruthless practicality. The Boar represents his tenacity, determination, and willingness to get dirty for the greater good.

Halsin: The Bear 🐻
Patient, nurturing, and protective, Halsin is a pillar of calm strength. Deeply connected to nature and those he protects, the Bear reflects his grounding and stoicism.

Minthara: The Eagle 🦅
Commanding and prideful, Minthara is a dark mirror of nobility. Raised in cruelty, she seeks dominance over others and believes in hierarchy. The Eagle captures both her ambition and her flaws.

Jaheira: The Cat 🐈
Clever, composed, and rebellious in spirit, Jaheira founded the Harpers to combat tyranny with wit and subversion. The Cat reflects her elegance, adaptability, and idealism.

Minsc: The Rothé 🐂
Though eccentric and often underestimated, Minsc has an unshakable moral core. Loyal, kind, and protective, the Rothé is a perfect match for his heartfelt heroism beneath the chaos.
