About this mod
Removes the Radiance Weapon glowing effect from Devotee's Mace. Purely cosmetic—stats and abilities remain unaffected.
- Permissions and credits
This mod was created for use with Patch 7 of Baldur's Gate 3. While it is a minor change and is likely to remain unaffected by Patch 8, you should take caution if applying it to a Patch 8 save until I have access to Patch 8 to confirm that everything is working correctly.
Description
The Devotee's Mace uses a blinding white Radiance Weapon glowing effect to demonstrate its holy power. While this is a nice touch to some, others can find it to be an annoyance to the eyes in certain cutscenes and sections of the game. Additionally, if the player uses Transmog Enhanced to change the appearance of the Devotee's Mace, it will still retain its Radiance Weapon glowing effect—ruining the appearance of the transmogged weapon.
This mod rectifies these issues by removing this status effect. The Devotee's Mace remains unchanged in every other aspect—stats and abilities are the same—only the glowing effect is removed. Another upside is that if the Devotee's Mace is transmogged, its new appearance will also no longer contain the Radiance Weapon glowing effect.
Other weapons that use the Radiance Weapon glowing effect (such as The Sacred Star) remain unchanged by this mod and will continue to glow.
