This is my first attempt at publishing a mod. I've modded games for years. I started with Total Annihilation. I had released a few units back then, plus I contributed to the Total Annihilation: War in Space mod with the Starwing fighter. I've also done personal mods for Fallout 3, NV, and 4, as well as Skyrim LE and Skyrim SE. This is the first time I've submitted anything on Nexus though.
So...
I present to you the Banshee, a new Banshee-themed subrace for ghouls0rules' Ghastly Ghouls - Playable Undead Race mod with some custom visual effects and icons.

For RP/Flavor purposes, select the elven origins. They work best with the whole theme of being a Banshee.
When you pick your Ethereal Color, your Shadow Step will match it automatically. In order for the Shadow Step colors to match, I had to trick the system by making Shadow Step a "Selectable Passive" at 6th level. There's only one, but it was the only way I could figure out how to get it to work.
Character creation for this subrace uses the standard Ghastly Ghouls selection. I used the Toolkit for 95% of this mod, so I did the best I could. One thing to note: when started with this race, I used the Lich as a base. In a sort of happy little accident, this ended up giving the Banshee the Lich's floating movement. As far as I can tell this provides no gameplay advantage, only visual effects. Honestly, I personally like it and feel that it fits the idea of the subrace. On that note, I have NO idea how to remove it.

Update: 4-April-25
I've added two new "Cantrip"-level Shouts: Booming and Vicious Headache.
These two are not AoE like all the rest, and instead are a Cone effect. They deal damage as well as apply a status effect, and they do not discriminate between enemies and allies.
The level-1 Banshee Wails are considered "Lesser Banshee Wails" that you can choose one of the 3 at first level. You can swap them out if you desire at the same levels you choose can choose the other wails, now referred to as "Greater Banshee Wails." They are also on separate spell lists, so you can swap them separately.

You MUST have these mods installed for this mod to work.
Ghastly Ghouls - Playable Undead Race by ghouls0rules, as well as all mods required by that mod.
VFX Library and VFX Vault by Shivero.

Install the mod with BG3MM. I do not use Vortex for BG3.
Drag into your active mods, make sure this file is loaded AFTER Ghastly Ghouls.
Make sure you have the above-listed requirements.

First and Foremost: ghouls0rules for his Ghastly Ghouls - Playable Undead Race mod. It's an awesome mod and it
I want to also thank the following individuals for their advice when I was making this mod. I asked A LOT of questions, but their advice helped me figure out how to do many of the things I was able to do with this mod. Digging my nose through their mod files also helped me understand quite a bit as well.
Kharneth - for LOADS of advice on how conditions and functions work.
Shivero - for the awesome custom VFX mods that helped me figure out how to actually work with VFX in the toolkit.
IceQuinn - for honestly giving me inspiration to even make the Shadow Step ability in different colors.
Future Plans
Any bug fixes for any bugs found by players
A variant, toned-down version of the banshee that is for elves, for those that don't want to use Ghastly Ghouls.
