Wow, it's been amazing to see just how many people love and wish to protect this amazing Githyanki. Some of you have been rather vehement and upset. Really puts a lie to those assertions that people dislike this character. Granted, that happens in any fandom, but still, I'd like everyone to be aware...
Yes, I enjoy vanilla Lae'zel as well, quite a bit. This isn't meant to be lore accurate.
I don't even use half the mods I create, but allure of modding is playing around to see what's possible.
I've already deleted/reported some unconstructive discussion, and have no qualms with continuing to do so. Please be respectful to others.
Easily turned into a Vortex manual mod: 1. Pick the single file of the face you want 2. Zip that file & place it with your other loose/manual mods 3. Inside Vortex, pick "Install from File" to select that mod then "deploy mods"! 4. Thank Seracen for a great mod
I did this after I couldn't get it into the correct folder, but I knew Vortex would
I've got a lot of words, but I know you won't read them anyway, so I leave you with a simple concept.
"I don't even use half the mods I create, but allure of modding is playing around to see what's possible."
Just because something can exist doesn't mean it should. Creating this without the deep consideration as to why you were doing it in the first place is why you're getting hate.
Lae'zel is a githyanki. Githyanki have unconventional noses. Think deep about why modding her nose to be human-esque/white-featured came to mind. You yourself say you don't play with half the mods you create.
Edit to add - for others' comments about Lae'zel, I challenge you to ask yourself why you hate a character solely because of appearance and why you're not able to see her humanity, for lack of a better word, without her being modded.
I will end with this - for me personally, I don't change the origin character's faces. And for me, this isn't far off from the White Wyll mod.
Well, I figured I'd actually respond to one of these, see what happens.
Just because I don't use half the mods I create, doesn't mean love and care didn't go into the mod, or that I somehow disliked the characters that the mods were based around. Sometimes you are in the mood to change things up, sometimes you want to return to the original. You are creating your own world each time, and that's the beauty of it.
I encourage you to not assume malice at any given opportunity, to enjoy the game on your own terms, and to let others do the same. I genuinely hope you can enjoy a cornucopia of mods from this site, and see the allure that others find in such things. And if not, I sincerely hope you can enjoy it on your own terms, without letting other people's personal enjoyment get in the way.
EDIT: Also to those who defend the work, I appreciate that you enjoy it, really is a breath of fresh air. A bit of sarcasm and ribbing is all in good fun, but please try to keep it civil as well. This thread is actually fine so far, but some of the others have been QUITE vehement. I'd much rather we all just enjoy playing. I will continue to make mods as my humble skills and time allow, because that's how I enjoy playing. That other people enjoy (or dislike) is another facet of course, but the primary reason I ever do these is to play with them myself, haha.
I can't even romance the beast while roleplaying. I want to see what the game has to offer without seducing a f*#@ing lizard. Take your woke-ass mentality to an echo chamber that gives a shit.
There are always retards like these. "lAe'ZeL iS pErFeCt As Is". SMH. Perfect or not, why you gotta complain over someone else making a mod for people who want to change her look?
depends. are they modding their faces to remove their unique traits? if so, then yes, theyd be femcels. the problem here is that laezel herself would be disgusted at such a big nose. if you download a mod that makes her prettier but keeps the gith nose, fine. but this goes against who she is. its like whitewashing wyll, or giving minthara a soft voice
It would almost be a perfect mod. Her eyes tend to pop out and the at some points parts of her lower eye lid tend to rise out of no where. Other than that it's a pretty cool mod overall. (For clarity I'm using Alternate Face Tiefling)
Excellent mod, consult. To uninstall it? Where would it be, in case you prefer a run attached to the "lore" later, because once it is installed, I don't know which file I should delete
Do you have any other mods that change Lae'zel's face via Vortex or the Mod Manager, I had one for earrings for her. Once I removed the mod her face changed to the one I chose, I'd check see if you have anything else that changes her face cause it could be that.

99% perfect. Would be 100% with a sliiiiight bit of a gith nose.
But it's so good as is - and makes my game so much better.
Wow.
