About this mod

Increases the number of spells Sorcerers learn on level up, without affecting total spell slots or Sorcery Points. Comes with compatibility for Alternate Sorcery Points Scaling and UnlockLevelCurve.

I like spells, and I like having choices, and I like Sorcerer.

So, why not all three?

More Sorcerer Spells (or MoSS, if you're feeling cute) increases the number of spells Sorcerers can learn, without increasing their total spell slots or how many Sorcery Points they have.

In vanilla BG3, Sorcerers learn one new spell every level, and learn one new cantrip at levels 4 and 10. A level 12 Sorcerer knows 13 spells and 6 cantrips.

With MoSS, there are two options, Increased or Doubled.
  • Increased: One new spell at every odd level, two new spells at every even level. One new cantrip at level 4, two new cantrips at level 10. A level 12 Sorcerer knows 19 spells and 7 cantrips.
  • Doubled: Two new spells every level, and two new cantrips at levels 4 and 10. A level 12 Sorcerer knows 24 spells and 8 cantrips.

Don't use both Increased and Doubled at the same time! Best case scenario, it won't work. Worst case scenario, I dunno, your PC explodes?

Note that I haven't changed how many spells you start with. You will still start with two spells known, just like vanilla. (This does mean you're not going to know if the mod's working properly until post-Nautiloid, sorry.)

Install / Uninstall in Existing Saves
Installing the mod mid-run should be safe, but you'll need to respec at Withers to get your extra spells.

Likewise, uninstalling should also be safe (or as safe as uninstalling mods mid-run can be), but you might still have an increased number of spells if you'd already learned them. If that's the case, Withers should be able to fix that for you.

Compatibility

Truth be told, I've no idea how this will interact with other mods, especially new subclasses. I may be unable to offer support for these mods!

Sorcerer - Alternate Sorcery Point Scaling
Install your choice of main mod (Increased or Doubled) and then the compatibility patch listed under Optional Files. Load ASPS first, then MoSS, then the Compatibility Patch.

UnlockLevelCurve
UnlockLevelCurve's core file does not override any of this mod's changes. However, you only get one new spell at 13, 15, and 17. Therefore I thought it would be a good idea to include a few patches to bring the extended levels up to par with what MoSS offers. These patches can actually be used without the core file, if you're happy with the 1-12 spell progression and just want to boost the later levels. These changes are made independently of the main file, so if you want you can use Doubled for 1-12 and Increased for 13-20 or whatever combo your heart desires.

  • Doubled: As in MoSS, two new spells every level.
  • Increased: As in MoSS, alternating 1/2 new spells.
  • Steady: One new spell every level. 

Load UnlockLevelCurve, then More Sorcerer Spells, then the compatibility patch. Please note that as of right now there is no patch for the optional files that add more feats!
