This mod does not cause the blurry hair issue. To fix it, try turning your in game texture settings to ultra. In the Nvidia control panel, try forcing anisotropic filtering to "x16", Negative LOD Bias to "Allow", and Texture filtering quality to "Quality"(NOT HIGH QUALITY), or whatever equivalent program is used for AMD. If none of that works, try updating your graphics drivers to their newest versions.
This mod also does not cause pixelated beards. for those of you who are experiencing it, I will refer you to these reddit posts, reddit post 1, reddit post 2. Some people may need to turn on TAA.
I do not personally experience grainy textures even with TAA off, so I'm not entirely sure what causes the issue for some people.
Here is a Reshade preset for those who are not the biggest fans of TAA. Anti Blur Reshade Preset
This mod includes HD versions of all of the vanilla hair textures. Softer Hair and Beards is HD too, but also goes for a softer look. This mod also covers body hair and scalp textures, which I don't think Softer Hair and Beards does. You can use them together, just make sure that Softer Hair and Beards has priority over this one in your mod manager.
Hi BjornyFjorny! After I updated to Patch 7, my loose file mods stopped working, including this one. I switched to the pak version but that one didn't work for me either. So! I redid your mod in the toolkit to make it Patch 7 compatible, and I also added an upscaled texture that I didn't see in your original mod (HAIR_Afro_A_MSKA).
If you'd like, I can send you both the pak and the editor project. Don't worry about credit. Let me know and I can get them over to you.
I imagine Softer Hair and Beards is having the same problem that this mod did, where texture replacers no longer work in Patch 7 without manually assigning them as overrides. I had to redo ALL my replacers in the toolkit... makeup, tattoos, scars, textures, everything 😔
As for uploading my patch... I can, but I'd like to give BjornyFjorny some time to respond. I'll check back in here next week.
I thought about it some more and since it might be a long time before I hear back from BjornyFjorny... the Patch 7 update is here! At least until I can hand it over to BjornyFjorny.
I have all of the things that you've said I need, I even went into the comments and found your textures pack for Companiona - Old Shaders (Textures), but it still won't load in HDR. I can't manage to add a picture, but it pretty much just looks blurry. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Are there other things I need to have downloaded as well?
