want the entirety of faerûn to know about how TOUGH and BADASS you are? do you want to wear your bad life decisions on your sleeve face? is the magic laser removal appointment you had booked in baldur's gate six months away? then this is the mod for you. it adds six different "no regrets" tattoos; three in infernal and three in tir'su (githyanki alphabet) for your characters to use.

VERY IMPORTANT DONUT SKIP!!11!
  • this mod is a replacer for already existing in-game tattoos. it doesn't add new tattoos. it will be incompatible with any other tattoo replacer mods that alter existing tattoo textures. there's an image listing all the vanilla tattoos that will be replaced above.
  • similarly, any npcs that use said vanilla tattoos will also have their tattoos changed (off the top of my head there aren't many, though.)
  • the tattoos, especially the one on the forehead, might look wonky or cut off in some races, especially tieflings. you can see an example in the image gallery. i couldn't find any workaround since the game uses the same existing file for all races. you're welcome to try and fix it, though.
  • UPDATE: for compatibility with unique tav, please check the pinned comment in the posts tab.
  • feel free to modify/use the tattoos however you want as long as you credit me.
how 2 install (and uninstall)
drop the "Generated" folder into C:/Program Files (x86)/Baldurs Gate 3/Data, or if your game is installed with Steam, C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data
. to uninstall, simply delete the folder and the cc tattoos will go back to normal.

very special thx

norbyte for their lslib tools, fnord for their dds photoshop plugin, and tenkadigi for the infernal and tir'su fonts. the mod to change the githyanki face spots shown on the model is by mutimatuti.

i can't guarantee anything, but i've been really into making custom tattoos lately so feel free to drop any suggestions!
also i've used the word tattoo so much here that it doesn't sound real anymore
