About this mod
Reworks Help action so that it required to pass a skill check in order to heal a downed character, thus restoring the importance of Medicine skill.

- Changelogs
In BG 3 when helping a downed character it always restores them to 1 hp. This is a huge change from 5e rules where you Help action in such circumstances required to pass Medicine check and only gave one passed Death SV on success. Arguably, the change is justified, considering general accessibility of healing options such as throwing healing potions. But it takes the most common use of Medicine skill away, rendering it basically useless.
Description
This mods changes Help action, thus restoring the importance of Medicine skill. Now it's a spell container that consists of two options:
- Help removes some negative effects: burning, entangled, sleep, etc. It now can't be applied to a downed character.
- Stabilize can only be applied to a downed character. It requires to pass a DC 15 Medicine check. On a success it restores the character 1d4 + your Wisdom Modifier hit points. On fail, the character is only stabilized but not healed.
The amount of restored Health is increased to compensate for the necessity to pass a check. Medicine is once again a useful skill: characters proficient in it can heal without spending spell slots.
