Metamagic Extended

Adds more Metamagic options to Sorcerers. Certain Spells such as Empowered and Seeking can be used in combination with others. The implementation might differ slightly from 5e but should otherwise be fair and balanced in the main mod.

Requirements

This mod now requires Script Engine to make Transmuted Spell work properly.


Metamagic Implemented

Please note that combining Metamagics will select all applicable spells, due to the game UI/engine mechanics!


Empowered Spell

Costs 1 Sorcery Point. 
Can be combined with other Metamagics!

Rolls spell damage dies with advantage. Significantly improves the overall damage output of your spells. Due to underlying engine mechanics verbatim implementation of the 5e rules is not possible. 

Useful for high volume damaging spells like Acid ArrowMagic MissileFireball, etc.


Seeking Spell

Costs 2 Sorcery Points. 
Can be combined with other Metamagics!

Adds Advantage to Spells that use Attack Rolls. Can help to land hit spells in critical situation so that the Spell Slot is not wasted. 

Useful for spells like Scorching Ray.


Transmuted Spell

Costs 1 Sorcery Point. 

Changes the damage type of an elemental spell to the damage type selected. Can help leverage environmental conditions and defeat elemental resistance.

Useful for spells like FireballScorching Ray and various other elemental spells.

FAQ

QI think I have an issue to report. What should I do?
APlease try and isolate the issue; start a new save game and limit active / installed mods to this mod and its requirements. More info at BG3 Wiki Mod Troubleshooting.

Q: Does this mod work with other mods that add spells, such as 5eSpells?
AAll Metamagic Spells should work with spells defined in other mods. 

Q: My savegame crashes after removing this mod. Is that expected?
AYes. Unfortunately, this is a typical issue with mods and BG3. If an object is referenced by the save game but the mod which provides said entity is removed the game may crash.
